• Provide high-level functional guidance on P&C product development, underwriting, and claims optimization for both personal and commercial lines • Lead/Advise on the implementation and migration of core insurance platforms (e.g., Guidewire, Duck Creek, or proprietary systems), ensuring business requirements align with technical capabilities • Ensure products and processes comply with California-specific mandates, including wildfire mitigation pricing, Prop 103 requirements, and CDI rate-filing changes • Map "As-Is" vs. "To-Be" business workflows to eliminate operational friction and improve the Combined Ratio • Evaluate and integrate emerging Insurtech solutions, focusing on AI-enabled straight-through processing (STP) and advanced catastrophe (CAT) response modeling • Translate complex insurance concepts into actionable technical specifications for engineering teams and present strategic roadmaps to executive leadership
Job Requirements
- 10+ years of experience in Property and Casualty (P&C) Insurance
- Mastery over the entire P&C value chain - Product Filing, Rating, Underwriting, Policy Administration, and Claims
- Deep understanding of the California insurance market, including local legislative trends and high-risk property exposure management
- Hands-on experience with modern Core Systems (Guidewire, Duck Creek, etc.) and expertise in data-driven decision-making (SQL, BI tools, or Data Modeling)
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant field
- Preferred: Professional designations such as Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU), Associate in Risk Management (ARM), or Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC)
- Experience with Managing General Agent (MGA) operating models
- Knowledge of Agentic AI applications in risk assessment and fraud detection
- Proven track record in managing large-scale digital transformation projects in a ‘Hybrid’ work environment

This role goes beyond basic dispatching.
