Role Description Hirevue is seeking a strategic, high-performing Business Development Representative (BDR) to drive a critical growth and migration initiative for our existing customer base. In this BDR role, you will own outreach to a dedicated cohort of established global customers to guide them through our T20 platform promotion process. Your primary mission is to build urgency, handle complex objections, and secure commitments for platform transitions, directly feeding the pipeline for our Professional Services implementation team. Because this role targets existing accounts, you will balance the hunter mindset of a traditional BDR with the consultative approach of an Account Manager. This position offers high visibility and immediate strategic impact, with the long-term opportunity to expand and support our growing SMB market. - Strategic Account Engagement: Execute targeted outreach campaigns (phone, email, social) to a warm but low-engagement cohort of international and domestic customers. - Migration Pipeline Creation: Drive volume and secure firm commitments/scheduling dates for the T20 platform promotion, ensuring a steady handoff of accounts to the Professional Services team to meet monthly delivery targets. - Consultative Objection Handling: Effectively navigate conversations with customers who may be unaware of their current product suite, have low engagement, or have churn risk. Re-educate accounts on product value and mitigate churn risks. - Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with Customer Success, Regional Sales Managers, Professional Services and Renewals Teams. - Campaign Optimization: Actively participate in message testing and refine playbooks alongside marketing and leadership to improve overall customer response rates. - Expansion Identification: Execute a phased conversation framework to first secure the migration commitment, and secondarily identify upsell or cross-sell opportunities to route to the broader sales team. Qualifications - Experience: 2+ years of proven success as a Business Development Representative (BDR), Inside Sales Representative, or Account Retention Specialist within the SaaS or technology sector. - Existing Customer Competency: Demonstrated experience working directly with existing customers. Experience handling account management, renewals, or migration conversations is highly preferred. - Advanced Objection Handling: Proven ability to turn difficult conversations into educational, value-driven interactions. - Global Awareness & Flexibility: Comfort managing outreach to international time zones, which may occasionally require flexible scheduling to optimize connect rates. - CRM Discipline: High proficiency with Salesforce, specifically around managing pre-pipeline stages, documenting customer interactions, and maintaining strict data hygiene. - Modern Sales Tech Stack Mastery: Experience using tools like Gong Engage, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Pocus, etc. - Communication Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to write direct, impactful email copy that drives executive-level engagement. - Adaptability: A self-starter mindset comfortable with evolving processes and eventually transitioning to support an SMB market motion. Benefits - All team members at Hirevue are expected to embody our core values, which are the H.E.A.R.T. of Hirevue: Hero for our Customers, Enjoy the Journey, Always do the Right Thing, Reach Forwards, and Take Action and Go. - Hirevue takes security seriously and has measures in place to protect work-related data in a remote setting. - Our organization has implemented a BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) policy, ensuring personal apps and data are kept separate from work apps and data. - Hirevue is committed to equal treatment and opportunity in all aspects of recruitment, selection, and employment. - All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, veteran status, or any other category protected under the law. - Hirevue is an equal opportunity employer; committed to a community of inclusion, and an environment free from discrimination, harassment, and retaliation.
