Air Emissions Consultant

• Develop and support air emissions inventories, including GHG and criteria air contaminants • Apply established regulatory methodologies and emissions factors in line with Canadian frameworks (e.g., TIER, OBPS, NPRI) • Perform QA/QC checks to ensure accuracy, consistency, and completeness of emissions calculations and reporting outputs • Interpret and analyze emissions data to identify trends, discrepancies, and improvement opportunities • Support the configuration and implementation of digital platforms such as Enablon AQS and Metrics • Translate emissions calculation methodologies into system-based workflows and logic • Validate system outputs against manual calculations and regulatory requirements • Assist in system testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), and ongoing optimization of digital tools • Develop standardized templates, tools, and dashboards to support emissions reporting and analysis • Implement automated workflows and data pipelines to improve efficiency and reduce manual processes • Design and maintain robust data quality controls and validation checks • Support client engagements by delivering high-quality technical and digital solutions within established timelines • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including technical, digital, and regulatory experts • Communicate technical findings, methodologies, and results clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field
- 3–5+ years of experience in air emissions or GHG data within the Canadian oil & gas sector
- Proven experience with emissions calculations and regulatory frameworks (e.g., TIER, OBPS, NPRI)
- Experience working with facility-level data
- Advanced Excel skills and strong data management capabilities
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment
