Role Description We’re looking for a Director, Field Access Managers on the Patient Services team to help us expand what’s possible for patients with serious diseases. Reporting to the Senior Director, Field Access Managers, you’ll have a unique opportunity to lead a team of 10 Field Access Managers and deliver upon and evolve an industry leading patient experience for patients battling serious and rare diseases. The Director, Field Access Managers will leverage his/her reimbursement and access expertise and demonstrated leadership experience to lead the field-based Field Access Manager team in identifying, understanding, and addressing challenges impacting patients’ access to Insmed’s products as prescribed by the HCP. A key component of this role is to establish collaborative relationships with: - Field Sales - Marketing - Channel Management - Market Access - Patient Support Leadership Team - Analytics - Compliance colleagues This role will be located in Northeast. What You'll Do In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to: - Manage a team of Field Access Managers to support HCP staff on insurance coverage and reimbursement policies for current and potential new products. - Create a high-performance team driven by common values of trust, respect and commitment in winning the right way (culture of compliance). - Establish a strong vision and clear objectives for the Field Access Managers that aligns with Insmed’s values. - Conduct performance evaluations, mentor, develop and lead a diverse and talented team who are competent and skilled in the healthcare marketplace and in access and reimbursement. - Collaborate with Field Sales, Market Access, and Patient Support Services leadership to proactively identify, prioritize and address patient access bottlenecks. - Provide strategic direction to Field Access Managers, and ensure their daily activities are compliantly aligned with patient access priorities within their assigned regions. - Serve as reimbursement and insurance coverage expert and coach for Field Access Managers, and ensure that the team maintains an up-to-date repository of plan-specific reimbursement and coverage criteria, forms, and submission procedures. - Communicate regularly with cross-functional leadership on Field Access Manager team’s focus and metrics. - Ensure compliance with Insmed’s policies and rules of engagement. - Track and analyze payer prior authorization outcome data along with market trends to identify areas of improvement and make appropriate recommendations. Qualifications - Bachelor's degree. - Minimum of 10+ years of commercial experience in the pharmaceutical or biotech industry, which must include field reimbursement. - Other experience that will be considered: market access, payer marketing, patient support programs, and sales experience. - 3+ years leadership experience demonstrating ability to build and sustain compliant, high performing teams. - Experience in recruiting and hiring high-performing teams required. - Experience leading a field-based reimbursement team preferred. - Leadership product launch experience required. - Specialty and rare disease experience preferred. - Excellent understanding of prescription patient journey, drug coverage/benefit design, and reimbursement process. - Demonstrated strength in strategic planning and tactical plan development and execution. Travel Requirements - This position involves frequent domestic travel in region; up to 60%.
