Marketing Manager
Thought Leaders Institute
Role Description Thought Leaders Institute is looking for a Marketing Manager to focus on the growth of our acquisition channels, swiftly launch new growth initiatives, and write some killer direct response copy along the way. In order to do so, you will use all available marketing channels, A/B testing, data analytics, customer feedback, prioritization, optimization, and automation. You’ll be empowered by some of the top marketing minds in the world and have all the tactics and tools at your fingertips to succeed. In short, if you’re a marketing-savvy trendsetter who has innovative ideas to drive rapid growth, we would like to meet you. P.S. This is not an opportunity for the faint of heart. We’re a fast-growing company with evolving needs and market conditions. If you like a good growth-inducing challenge, this is your new home. P.P.S. If you aren’t intimately familiar with the works of (at least) Schwartz, Ogilvy, and Kennedy, no need to apply. The role of the Marketing Manager is to assist in, and later lead the planning, execution, measurement, and optimization of our marketing efforts. The Marketing Manager will be passionate for the “art” (and science) of marketing and will have an abundance of ideas for building efficient strategies. The right person will bring a strong arsenal of techniques and methods to promote our products, services, and public image. On a day-to-day basis, you might find yourself doing all the following: - Develop strategies and tactics to get the word out about our company and drive qualified traffic to our marketing funnels. - Deploy successful marketing campaigns and own their implementation from strategy to optimization. - Measure campaign progress and submit performance scorecards based on both leading and lagging KPIs. - Monitor, evaluate, and collaboratively manage the advertising budget on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis to allocate funds effectively. - Set up A/B split tests and monitor performance with the specific goal to increase growth. - Writing direct response style copy for emails, landing pages, or VSLs. - Stay up to date with what’s happening in marketing and make suggestions for new tests and launches that will drive growth. - Monitoring acquisition funnels and ensuring they align with key metrics such target CPA and month-over-month baseline. In other words, to succeed in this role, you’ll need to be able to do a little bit of everything, which, for the right person, should be a dream job. Qualifications - You have 4+ years of experience in marketing or growth roles. - You’re a self-directed, detail-oriented, high-performer with an exceptional drive for success. - You have direct experience in or exposure to the personal development, coaching, or online course/training industry. - You love getting your hands dirty and doing whatever it takes to get a campaign successfully out the door on time and within budget. - You’re a flexible & adaptable problem solver who is solution-oriented and driven by data. - You are data-driven and comfortable with setting up tracking, digging into analytics, or doing a VLOOKUP when needed in Excel. - You are a proactive, effective communicator, and have ample experience building and/or managing a marketing team. - You laugh at people who dream of a traditional “9-to-5.” Requirements - Availability to work full-time on US Pacific hours. Who You Will Be Working With As the Marketing Manager, you’ll be reporting to the Co-CEOs to define the marketing strategy, cadence and KPIs. You’ll also be working with our Product/Programs and Operations teams.
