The organization is currently developing the foundational wallet infrastructure for the next generation of global finance. The Senior Software Engineer will design, develop, and scale core backend services for a high-performance platform. This role involves full ownership of critical projects—ranging from APIs and microservices to databases and developer tooling—ensuring all systems remain fast, reliable, and secure. Beyond hands-on engineering, this individual will contribute to architectural decisions, refine development processes, and ensure infrastructure resilience under real-world financial workloads. This position requires close collaboration with product, security, and leadership teams to transform complex requirements into elegant, production-ready systems. Key Responsibilities - System Development: Design, build, and maintain secure, scalable backend services and RESTful APIs. - Architecture: Architect databases and microservices optimized for performance, reliability, and long-term growth. - Project Ownership: Manage the full software development lifecycle (SDLC), from initial requirements and implementation to production deployment and iteration. - Performance Optimization: Troubleshoot complex technical issues, resolve performance bottlenecks, and ensure system resilience. - Engineering Excellence: Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, observability, and the continuous improvement of development standards. - Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with product and security teams on technical roadmaps and strategic direction. - Documentation: Maintain comprehensive system documentation and support client-facing technical discussions.

• Apply a data-driven approach to a wide variety of signals to identify emerging Cybersecurity fraud trends and tactics. • Developing ideas for new products or features by monitoring industry developments and executing quick proof of concepts. • Take advantage of efficiencies from AI coding tools and AI first mind-set to solve customer pain points • Participate in the full development cycle: design, develop, test, analyze, and deploy. • Design, implement, and maintain scalable and high-performance APIs and backend systems. • Experience working with microservice architecture and containerized services. • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, UX designers, QA engineers, and customer-facing teams, to deliver high-quality software. • Strong communication and collaboration skills

• Architect and scale Groundhawk’s backend platform, building the services and data pipelines that connect field data capture with customer workflows while handling geospatial data at scale • Design and build backend services using Python and Node.js, evolving our API architecture • Build and operate data pipelines that ingest, process, and serve geospatial data at scale • Own and improve our microservices architecture, ensuring reliability and performance • Collaborate with ML engineers on processing pipelines for 3D point clouds and sensor data • Optimize database performance and query patterns across PostgreSQL / PostGIS • Drive infrastructure improvements on AWS, including observability, CI/ CD and scaling

• You'll be joining a team of engineers across Frontend, Backend, SRE and QA. • This role is open for several teams, and we will define the exact team that you will be joining during the interview process based on the business needs and your preferences. • Regardless of the specific team, you will be working on building tools, APIs and integrations for one of our products. • Lead the development of major team-scoped projects, participate in cross-team initiatives • Actively participate in product work in the team: provide feedback, suggest solutions to the problems.
