THE ROLE As a data engineer, you will work as part of a larger customer team. You will get to design and implement data platforms, databases and pipelines in the AWS environment. Depending on your skills, you can also participate in the implementation of reporting and analytics solutions. WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR We would be a great match if you have: - At least 1–2 years of practical experience implementing data solutions in AWS - Finnish and English (both at a professional working level) It is considered a plus if you have: - Experience with Snowflake - Understanding of Data Vault modeling - Experience with Agile Data Engine - Knowledge of Tableau WHY ADVIAN Who better to tell than the co-Advians themselves? • Architect and scale Groundhawk’s backend platform, building the services and data pipelines that connect field data capture with customer workflows while handling geospatial data at scale • Design and build backend services using Python and Node.js, evolving our API architecture • Build and operate data pipelines that ingest, process, and serve geospatial data at scale • Own and improve our microservices architecture, ensuring reliability and performance • Collaborate with ML engineers on processing pipelines for 3D point clouds and sensor data • Optimize database performance and query patterns across PostgreSQL / PostGIS • Drive infrastructure improvements on AWS, including observability, CI/ CD and scaling
