Role Description The employee will serve as the Supervisory Health System Specialist, located in the National Care Coordination, Veterans Crisis Line (VCL), Veterans Affair (VA). The VCL is a 24-hour, 7-days-a-week, 365-days-a-year service aimed at connecting callers worldwide to a caring, qualified Veterans Administration employee. The VCL's mission is to provide 24/7, world-class suicide prevention and crisis intervention services to Veterans, Service Members and their family members. - Supervise a team of Health System Specialist and serve as the liaison between the team and leadership. - Organize and execute plans to enhance the understanding of how various roles can be applied in VCL or other areas of Veterans Health Administration as the point of contact and subject matter expert on NCC service to internal/external partners. - Schedule, plan and provide subordinates with the requirements and descriptions of the work to be performed, while tracking progress daily. - Set priorities, quarterly goals, and annual goals of employees.
