Role Description The AI & Automation Operations Supporting Analyst contributes to the development, maintenance, and optimization of Postmedia’s automation and AI‑enabled workflows. This role provides hands‑on assistance with building n8n workflows, supporting Microsoft Copilot & Power Apps integrations, maintaining documentation, and ensuring automations run reliably and securely. This position requires hands-on build experience with n8n, Copilot, and Power Automate. What you’ll do: - Platform Support (n8n + MS Copilot, Power Apps Integrations) - Assist in monitoring the health and performance of automation workflows. - Help maintain configurations, credentials, and integrations across n8n and Microsoft Copilot. - Support environment management tasks such as updating test environments, migrating workflows, and handling basic versioning steps. - Document workflow deployment steps and operational processes. - Workflow Development & Standards Adoption - Build and modify workflows following established architecture and coding standards. - Apply naming conventions, error handling patterns, and retry logic as trained. - Support optimization efforts by identifying simple improvements. - Participate in workflow reviews for low to moderate complexity automations. - AI‑Enabled Automation Support - Implement AI‑assisted workflow steps (e.g., structured prompts, enrichment steps) with senior guidance. - Follow defined criteria to select the appropriate automation environment (n8n, Power Automate, Copilot Studio). - Help maintain reusable components and workflow templates. - Governance, Security & Compliance (Foundational) - Follow documented security practices for credentials and API access. - Assist in applying guardrails such as input validation, prompt hygiene, and rate‑limit controls. - Participate in basic checks for anomalous workflow execution. - Operational Monitoring & Continuous Improvement - Monitor dashboards and report workflow failures or unusual patterns. - Log incidents and support root‑cause analysis efforts led by senior members. - Contribute to updating documentation that improves reliability and maintainability. - Cross‑Team Collaboration - Work with Operations, Dev, Security, Data, and Business teams to gather requirements and clarify workflow needs. - Support internal users by explaining workflow functionality or helping them run simple automations. - Join standups, planning sessions, and design discussions as a supporting contributor. Qualifications - Must have experience (1–3 years) with automation tools such as n8n, Copilot, Power Automate. - Basic workflow engineering abilities, including working with APIs, webhooks, and SaaS integrations. - Familiarity with Microsoft 365 (Teams, SharePoint, Outlook) and identity fundamentals. - Basic knowledge of AI platforms (Copilot, GPT, Gemini) and prompt‑based steps. - Comfort working with JSON, API calls, tokens, and basic logging. - Eagerness to learn automation architecture and AI‑driven workflow concepts. - Strong attention to detail and consistency in following standards. - Ability to communicate clearly with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders. - Comfortable documenting processes and maintaining organized workflows. Compensation - Base Salary: $59,000 - $72,000 + health & dental + pension matching + vacation. Job Description The Media Operations Specialist is a critical individual contributor within NBCUniversal's Media Operations organization, responsible for ensuring the accurate, timely, and reliable fulfillment of media content across NBCUniversal's distribution platforms. This role supports the end-to-end digital supply chain, including quality control, troubleshooting, workflow execution, and cross-functional coordination, while upholding operational reliability, technical accuracy, and service-level commitments. The Media Operations Specialist serves as both a hands-on operator and a subject-matter resource, acting as an escalation point for complex issues and supporting continuous improvement through SOP development, training, and workflow optimization. Basic Requirements: - Execute day-to-day media operations workflows including quality control, and distribution for NBCUniversal content across broadcast, digital, and international platforms. - Perform thorough technical and content QC on digital media assets to ensure compliance with internal and external delivery specifications. - Validate encoded and transcoded files across multiple formats, codecs, and delivery profiles with a high expectation of accuracy and zero-defect output. - Support inbound and outbound asset workflows, ensuring assets are sourced, prepared, and delivered on time. - Serve as an escalation point for technicians and operations staff for complex workflow, system, or asset-related issues. - Troubleshoot media prep, QC, and delivery issues in real time, following defined escalation and communication protocols. - Document issues, root causes, and resolutions, partnering with Supervisors, Engineering, Product, and Support teams to implement long-term fixes. - Workflow, SOPs & Continuous Improvement - Assist with the creation, maintenance, and publication of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure operational consistency and reliability. - Support testing, rollout, and implementation of new systems, tools, workflows, and process enhancements. - Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reliability, and quality across media operations workflows. - Support team training initiatives, including onboarding, workflow updates, and cross-training across media operations functions. - Assist Supervisors with maintaining training documentation and training matrices. - Partner closely with Program Operations, Technical Operations, QC, and other internal stakeholders to ensure successful asset fulfillment. - Perform additional duties as assigned.
