• Lead and manage complex SALT engagements across sales & use, state income, and franchise tax • Serve as a trusted advisor on nexus, apportionment, taxability, and multi-state planning • Oversee review of returns, provisions, and technical memoranda • Lead audit defense, VDAs, and tax controversy engagements • Advise on income/franchise tax implications including state filings, apportionment methodologies, and planning strategies • Develop and maintain strong client relationships; identify growth opportunities • Mentor and develop Managers and staff; help build a high-performing team • Support practice growth initiatives, process improvements, and potential business development efforts
Job Requirements
- 8–12+ years of SALT experience (public accounting or consulting required)
- Strong background in sales & use tax, with working knowledge of state income and franchise tax
- Experience with multi-state income/franchise compliance, planning, and apportionment
- Proven leadership experience managing teams and client engagements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- CPA, MST, or JD strongly preferred
- Experience with indirect tax technology (e.g., Vertex, Avalara) is a plus

Role Description This is a remote position. The Lien Negotiator will be responsible for managing and negotiating medical liens, health insurance liens, and other case-related balances on behalf of clients and attorneys. The successful candidate will possess strong negotiation skills, excellent communication abilities, and a thorough understanding of the personal injury process.
