Senior DevOps Engineer – MySQL Database Infrastructure
Fluent Trade Technologies
• Own the entire database infrastructure lifecycle—from infrastructure solution design, database cluster and replication installation and setup, performance tuning, automation, production deployment, and support • Be a key part of rapid development cycles to deliver high-quality infrastructure and products • Hands-on database infrastructure management, optimization, and maintenance • Own and manage all databases across the organization, including Development, Staging, and high-availability Production environments • Cover critical database admin aspects: Security, Failover/Replication architectures, Scaling, and Performance Optimization • Incorporate modern DevOps tools, work procedures, best practices, and infrastructure-as-code architecture • Cooperate closely with R&D, QA, and the core DevOps teams to streamline DB deployments and CI/CD pipelines • Serve as the in-house subject matter expert on databases, mentoring and guiding developers and QA teams
Job Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in DevOps/Infrastructure roles
- At least 3 years of dedicated experience specializing in MySQL administration and optimization
- Strong hands-on experience with MySQL high-availability configurations, failover replication, security, backup, and performance tuning
- Strong hands-on experience with Linux operating systems (administration and troubleshooting)
- Strong SQL skills, including 2+ years of experience in writing complex queries
- Proficiency in automation and scripting using Python and Bash
- Mandatory - good English, both written and spoken
- Advantage Developed in C++, specifically calling mysql from it
- Financial background: FIX protocol, FX trading, Experience with Jira, SVN, Jenkins
