Senior Mobile Core Architect

• Configuration of STPs, DRAs, HLR/HSS, SMSC, SGSN, GGSN/PGW, SBC, etc. • Along with the team, you will be responsible for being able to manage all equipment on our network. • Using dashboards (and building new ones) to clearly and quickly discover issues and patterns • Accountable and responsible to follow the communications procedures in place when handling an incident. • Communication is both internal within our company and external to our third-party providers. • Drive the implementation of telecom interconnection in relationship with our providers • Maintenance, troubleshooting, security audits, and emergency response • Wireshark tracing of critical infrastructure to debug issues • Occasional on-call requirements
Job Requirements
- At least 10 years’ experience in the core network domain with a mobile networks
- Holding a BSc degree in Telecommunication or Computer Science (post-graduate studies are a bonus)
- 10+ years core telecommunications network experience
- 10+ years of experience with SS7, Sigtran, Diameter, Packet Switched (GGSN/PGw, GTP, GRX, IPX, etc.)
- Circuit switched communications protocols such as SS7 (including SCCP, TCAP, MAP and CAMEL phases 1 to 4), SCTP (SIGTRAN), Diameter, including ability to design and configure voice and messaging flows
- Voice SIP / RTP, ISUP and voice convergence technologies, including IMS (including VoLTE and VoWiFi)Knowledge (general) in Voice Mail, IVR and PBX systems / softphones (secondary)
- Hands on with sniffers, Wireshark and testing tools in advanced mode
- Hands on with Linux/Unix based systems (you can find your way around a linux shell)
- Understanding of 3GPP, ITU-T and ANSI standards
- Understanding of roaming agreements and IR.21, including IREG testing
- Online Charging System (OCS) and CAMEL in billing and call control
- Strong writing and documentation skills are needed to develop reports
- Adaptability and responding to change
- Be able to work under pressure
- You are fluent in English (written and spoken)
- Ready to work on morning/afternoon shifts
- Good interaction with external customers and internal teams

Role Description We are seeking a Data Platform Architect to define and lead the architecture of our enterprise data platform, spanning ingestion, storage, processing, governance, and consumption layers. The role drives the strategic direction of data infrastructure, sets standards for data modeling and lifecycle management, and partners with data engineering, analytics, ML, and business stakeholders to deliver a coherent, scalable data foundation. The ideal candidate combines deep technical mastery of modern data platforms with strong architectural judgment, and has led data-platform programs of meaningful scope and complexity. Key Responsibilities - Define the target-state architecture of the enterprise data platform, including ingestion, storage, processing, and consumption layers. - Establish standards for data modeling, schema evolution, partitioning, file formats, and storage organization. - Architect lakehouse, warehouse, and streaming patterns leveraging technologies such as Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery, Redshift, Iceberg, Delta Lake, or Hudi. - Design end-to-end data pipelines that balance latency, cost, reliability, and maintainability across batch and streaming workloads. - Lead the integration of governance, lineage, and catalog tools such as Collibra, Alation, Atlan, Unity Catalog, or DataHub. - Define security architecture including row- and column-level controls, masking, encryption, and identity-aware access patterns. - Partner with ML, BI, and product teams to ensure platform capabilities align with downstream consumption needs. - Establish data contract and data product principles to drive ownership, quality, and decoupling between producers and consumers. - Lead architecture reviews and provide guidance on pipeline and warehouse design proposals across teams. - Drive cost optimization and capacity planning across the data platform estate. - Design disaster recovery, multi-region, and high-availability strategies for critical data assets. - Mentor data engineers and architects on platform standards and emerging best practices. - Produce architecture artifacts including context diagrams, decision records, and reference patterns. - Stay current with data platform research, vendor offerings, and open-source ecosystem developments.
