QA Team Lead / QA Manager

• Lead and manage the QA team, including resource planning, workload management, mentoring, and career development. • Define, implement, and continuously improve QA processes, standards, methodologies, and best practices across the organization. • Develop and maintain comprehensive test strategies, test plans, test scenarios, and test cases for new and existing products. • Work closely with Product Managers, Business Analysts, Developers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and define testing approaches. • Ensure quality is embedded throughout the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC). • Drive test planning, test execution, defect management, and release readiness activities. • Manage QA activities using Jira and related project management and reporting tools. • Track, analyze, and report quality metrics, testing progress, defect trends, and release quality indicators. • Identify quality risks early and proactively propose mitigation strategies. • Support and improve both manual and automated testing practices across the team. • Participate in recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and professional development of QA team members. • Facilitate collaboration between QA, Product, Engineering, and Delivery teams to improve overall product quality and delivery efficiency. • Stay current with emerging QA tools, testing methodologies, and industry best practices.
Job Requirements
- Proven experience leading QA teams in a Team Lead, QA Manager, or similar leadership role.
- Strong understanding of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile software delivery methodologies.
- Experience creating and maintaining test strategies, test plans, test scenarios, and test cases.
- Strong knowledge of QA methodologies, testing processes, defect management, and quality assurance best practices.
- Experience coordinating testing activities across multiple projects and teams.
- Hands-on experience with Jira and related project tracking and reporting tools.
- Understanding of QA metrics, reporting frameworks, and quality governance practices.
- Experience establishing or scaling QA processes within growing technology organizations.
- Solid understanding of web application testing and modern software architectures.
- Experience working alongside development, product, and business teams throughout the delivery lifecycle.
- Strong analytical thinking, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience mentoring and developing junior and mid-level QA professionals.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Upper-intermediate (or higher) level of English.
- Ability to work effectively in a distributed international team environment.
- Experience with leveraging the latest AI tools to increase productivity with automation, where feasible (e.g., Codex, ChatGPT, etc.).
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
