• Support onboarding of users into applications, including account creation, permissions management, and initial troubleshooting. • Provide first-line helpdesk support by email, phone, and ticketing systems, escalating issues to product or development teams when required. • Review and assist in maintaining user documentation for applications, ensuring clarity and accuracy. • Identify, document, and escalate bugs or recurring issues to the respective product teams. • Maintain knowledge entries in Information & Knowledge Management (IKM) tools, ensuring lessons learned and troubleshooting procedures are recorded and accessible. • Monitor application performance and availability using existing tools, escalating incidents as necessary. • Identify potential improvements to applications and provide user feedback to product and development teams. • Deliver short training sessions, user guides, and onboarding material to support end users. • Maintain an awareness of cybersecurity best practices and assist in preventing unauthorized access or data loss incidents. • Perform additional tasks as required by the COTR related to application support.
• Design, develop, and deliver high-quality code implementing new features/user stories • Improving existing functionality (refactoring, optimizations) • Use version control (Git) properly and apply branching strategies in use • Writing automated unit/integration tests • Following coding standards and architectural patterns and ensure code meets quality gates (linting, tests, coverage thresholds) • Participate in code reviews • Assist QA when needed • Prepare and support test events with users and stakeholders • Develop, and deliver high-quality code fixing software bugs and performance issues • Develop and maintain documentation needed for team usage • API/interface definitions • README / usage instructions • Architecture notes for complex changes • How-to and wiki documents for new technical changes, tools or packages introduced • Participate in planning meetings, daily status update meetings, and other meetings, via electronic means using conference call capabilities, according to NCIA instructions. • Participate in workshops, events and conferences related to the supported services, as requested by the NCIA project team. • Provide a consolidated monthly report in the form of a completed Delivery Acceptance Sheet (DAS) (Annex B), with traceability to planned scope and annotating the deliverables produced for the projects and activities supported, signed by the individual contractor personnel.
• Design, develop, test and maintain the software for the IOTA suite of tools; • Write, update and maintain the software documentation for the IOTA suite of tools; • Participate in the team meetings as required by the Lead Developer (LD), the Service Delivery Manager (SDM) and the Project Manager (PM); • Update accordingly the development backlog system with progress and comments;
• Leading the identification and scoping of AI/ML use cases applicable to (T)BMD fire-control coordination and IAMD operational challenges. • Reviewing existing NIAG SG300 reports and TBMD simulation data to establish baseline knowledge and identify relevant datasets. • Designing a baseline data architecture and methodological framework for the responsible use of advanced AI technologies within the BMD domain, informed by NATO’s current AI architecture and near-term plans. • Conducting feasibility studies on emerging AI/ML computational techniques (such as machine learning, deep learning, reinforcement learning, and large language models) and assessing their potential operational benefit for identified use cases. • Developing and evaluating AI/ML software prototypes and demonstrators for selected BMD use cases at NATO UNCLASSIFIED level in the NATO Software Factory (NSF). All development to take place in NSF and to use existing LLMs where needed (to make it easier to migrate to NS). • Preparing and providing subject matter (BMD AI) briefings, expert reports, and feasibility study documentation related to the project work. • Developing and documenting a responsible AI framework aligned to the NATO Principles of Responsible AI Use (PRU), as outlined in the NATO AI Strategy, but specifically tailored to the BMD context. This work should follow NATO ambition and align with existing work on the topic as required. • Planning and delivering subject matter (BMD AI) training and knowledge transfer sessions to the NCIA project team and a wider NCIA community, focusing on the BMD case. NCIA will share currently available AI training material with the contractor team.
