Role Description This is not a traditional financial analyst seat where you sit behind a screen building models in isolation. As the Senior Financial Analyst, you are the quality standard for every financial deliverable that leaves this firm. You will work directly with US-based Managing Directors and Vice Presidents on active M&A transactions — building the models they rely on to advise clients, price deals, and close transactions. You will manage one Financial Analyst and be responsible for ensuring that your team’s output is indistinguishable in quality from what a top-tier US investment bank produces. When a VP needs a three-statement model, a valuation analysis, or a pipeline forecast, your team delivers it — on time, accurate, and presentation-ready. Core Responsibilities - Financial Modeling & Valuation - Build and maintain bottom-up three-statement models for active M&A engagements, including detailed P&L with headcount drivers, revenue forecasts driven by bookings and backlog burndown, and probability-weighted pipeline forecasts by named opportunity. - Lead historical financial statement analysis (P&L, working capital, capex) using pivot tables and trial balances provided by client management teams. - Conduct valuation analyses: publicly-traded comparables, precedent M&A transactions, discounted cash flow, leveraged buyout, and EPS accretion/dilution as required by deal context. - Manage model updates and roll-forwards across active deals, ensuring accurate variance analysis (actual vs. forecast) as new data comes in. - Deal Support & Deliverables - Produce financial exhibits, charts, and analysis pages for Confidential Information Presentations (CIPs), pitch decks, management presentations, and prospect materials. - Support pre-marketing and post-marketing due diligence processes with financial data rooms, Q&A responses, and buyer-facing analyses. - Partner with the Narrative Development team to ensure financial story and written narrative are aligned across all client-facing materials. - Team Leadership & Quality Control - Manage and develop one Financial Analyst — assign work, review output, and ensure adherence to Crosstree’s modeling standards and formatting conventions. - Serve as the final quality check on all financial deliverables before they go to US VPs for review. Your team’s work should require minimal revision at the VP level. - Build and maintain standardized model templates and QA checklists that ensure consistency across all active engagements. - Contribute to training materials and onboarding documentation as the FA team grows. - Coordination & Communication - Participate in the daily 9:00 AM ET stand-up with the nearshore functional team and Executive PMO to align on priorities, deadlines, and cross-team handoffs. - Communicate directly with US VPs and MDs on deal-specific modeling questions, timeline updates, and deliverable status. You need to be comfortable operating as a trusted partner to senior bankers. - Log time accurately against active engagements in Harvest for utilization tracking and deal-level P&L reporting. Qualifications - Fluent English (written and spoken). - 5+ years of experience in investment banking, transaction advisory, or corporate development with hands-on financial modeling. Candidates with exceptional FP&A skills will be considered if they have direct experience building bottom-up, three-statement models. - Exceptional Excel skills — advanced formulas, pivot tables, scenario analysis, sensitivity tables. Macro experience is a plus. - Strong accounting foundation and ability to interpret U.S. GAAP financials. - Proven ability to build and present sophisticated valuation models in a deal context. - Strong writing and communication skills — you will summarize and explain financial trends to senior bankers who expect precision and clarity. - Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. - Available during US business hours overlap (minimum 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM ET). Preferred Qualifications - Background in healthcare M&A or healthcare-focused financial services. - Experience managing or mentoring junior analysts. - Proficiency in PowerPoint for financial exhibit preparation; CapitalIQ experience strongly preferred. - Comfort with AI-enabled workflows and interest in using technology to accelerate analysis. - CFA designation (completed or in progress) strongly preferred. Progress toward ACCA or equivalent professional certifications is a plus. Why This Role Matters Every deal Crosstree runs depends on the quality of the financial analysis behind it. You are building the team that adds modeling capacity so analysts and associates aren’t bottlenecked, and VPs can step back from the weeds to focus on directing work, advising clients, and closing transactions. That’s what Crosstree 3.0 is about — and your team is at the center of it. To Apply Send your resume and a brief note explaining why this role interests you. We are looking for someone who takes pride in precision, can operate at investment banking speed, and wants to build something from the ground up.
