Clinical Review Specialist
Donor Network of Arizona
Role Description The Clinical Review Specialist (CRS) is responsible for ensuring accuracy of data in iTransplant and DonorNet data entry and collaborating with appropriate staff to resolve missing or incorrect data. The CRS reviews donor cases and submits data to OPTN within applicable timeframes. The CRS identifies trends in data reporting and trains Clinical staff in proper data entry into the various data systems used. - Reviews iTransplant data entry and organ donor records for completeness. - Ensures donor records are complete and accurate by auditing clinical documentation against DNA SOPs and regulatory standards. - Uses EMR systems to identify and correct deficiencies. - Collaborates with clinical, quality, and responsible staff to resolve issues in a timely manner. - Completes and submits required OPTN data entry on organ donors. - Reviews and corrects iTransplant donor data. - Uploads data to the TIEDI Deceased Donor Registration system. - Ensures all DDRs are accurate and submitted within required regulatory timeframes. - Adheres to all established standard operating procedures, federal, state, and association regulations. - Attends appointments and meetings on time and as scheduled. Qualifications - Minimum Education: Associate’s Degree or equivalent. - Minimum Experience: - 1+ years in a healthcare related field with clinical knowledge, or relevant OPO experience. - 1+ years utilizing electronic medical record systems. - 1+ years reviewing and assessing medical records from a clinical perspective. - Must work well under pressure due to calls, inquiries, and deadlines. - Occasional Travel required. - Preferred Education: Bachelor's Degree. - Preferred Experience: 1-2 years OPO experience.
