GenesysOrchestrating billions of remarkable experiences in more than 100 countries – through cloud, digital and AI technology.
Role Description Be the one building AI-powered experiences where they matter most. At Genesys, we help organizations create better customer experiences through AI-powered experience orchestration. Our platform connects people, systems, data, and AI to help organizations deliver more personalized service, improve operational efficiency, and build stronger customer relationships. Help build, support, and operate technology used by more than 8,000 organizations in over 100 countries – moving AI from possibility to production in real-world enterprise environments every day. Genesys is seeking a Principal Product Manager to lead the strategy, evolution, and governance of the Genesys Cloud Monetization Platform, including usage metering, entitlement management, rating, billing, and monetization integrations across the platform. This role differs significantly from a traditional product management position. Rather than owning a single customer-facing product, you will serve as the central product leader responsible for ensuring that every monetized capability across Genesys Cloud can be accurately measured, entitled, rated, billed, audited, and reported. Every product team introducing new billable capabilities, usage dimensions, packaging models, or pricing constructs will partner with this team to bring those offerings to market. Success in this role requires deep technical understanding, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to influence across organizational boundaries. Errors within the monetization pipeline can result in revenue leakage, customer trust issues, compliance concerns, financial reporting inaccuracies, and audit findings. As a result, this role demands a level of technical rigor and operational discipline beyond that of most product management positions. Key Responsibilities - Monetization Platform Strategy & Governance: - Define and execute the vision, roadmap, and operating model for the Genesys Cloud monetization platform, enabling scalable and consistent monetization across all products and services. - Establish platform standards, patterns, and requirements for usage collection, entitlement management, rating, billing, and reporting while serving as the primary advisor to product teams introducing new monetized capabilities. - Drive alignment across Product, Engineering, Finance, Pricing, Revenue Operations, and Business Systems teams to ensure monetization capabilities support current and future business models. - Technical Product Leadership: - Partner deeply with engineering teams responsible for metering pipelines, event processing systems, entitlement services, rating engines, billing platforms, APIs, and downstream operational systems. - Translate complex technical architectures and business requirements into scalable monetization solutions while balancing customer experience, operational efficiency, financial accuracy, and platform maintainability. - Define requirements, acceptance criteria, observability standards, reconciliation processes, and operational controls necessary to ensure monetization accuracy and platform reliability at scale. - Revenue Integrity & Operational Excellence: - Champion accuracy, traceability, and auditability throughout the monetization lifecycle, ensuring usage and billing outcomes are trusted by customers, Finance, and executive leadership. - Identify and mitigate risks that could lead to revenue leakage, overbilling, compliance concerns, or financial control deficiencies. - Lead cross-functional resolution and remediation of monetization issues and drive continuous improvements in platform reliability, operational maturity, and business scalability. Qualifications - 8+ years of product management experience, including significant experience with technical platform products, monetization systems, billing platforms, financial systems, infrastructure services, or other highly technical domains. - Demonstrated ability to work effectively with senior engineers and architects on complex distributed systems, data pipelines, APIs, and platform architectures. - Experience with one or more of the following: usage metering, billing systems, subscription management, entitlement management, pricing platforms, financial systems, revenue operations, or large-scale data processing platforms. - Strong systems-thinking skills with the ability to understand end-to-end workflows spanning customer-facing products, platform services, and back-office systems. - Proven ability to influence and drive alignment across multiple product and engineering organizations without direct authority. Preferred Qualifications - Experience building or operating SaaS monetization platforms at scale. - Familiarity with SOX controls, audit requirements, financial controls, or revenue recognition processes. - Experience working closely with Finance, Accounting, Pricing, Revenue Operations, ERP, CRM, or business systems teams. - Background in cloud platforms, infrastructure services, data platforms, or other highly technical product domains. Benefits - Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance. - Telehealth coverage. - Flexible work schedules and work from home opportunities. - Development and career growth opportunities. - Open Time Off in addition to 10 paid holidays. - 401(k) matching program. - Adoption Assistance. - Fertility treatments.
