Process Automation and Control Engineer
Solenis
• Lead all phases of the automation portion of capital projects, including conceptual design, detailed engineering, implementation, and commissioning. • Champion safety by ensuring strict adherence to process safety and life-critical work processes in field activities. • Serve as the technical authority for automation and control systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices. • Collaborate closely with site leadership, engineering teams, and external vendors to ensure seamless execution and strong working relationships. • Monitor project milestones and deliverables to ensure compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and regulatory requirements. • Deliver control system configuration services across North American sites. • Provide ongoing automation support to operational facilities, including lifecycle management and cybersecurity services. • Travel occasionally for commissioning and project-related activities across North America, South America, and Asia Pacific regions.
Job Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in Controls Engineering
- 5+ years of experience in chemical, petrochemical, or pharmaceutical manufacturing environments
- Demonstrated success leading control-focused engineering projects
- Strong understanding of Distributed Control Systems (DCS)
- Solid understanding of production manufacturing processes and instrumentation
- Ability to travel domestically up to 25% and are open to some international travel.

• Lead the creation of intelligent automations that free entire teams to focus on what really matters. • Design, develop, and maintain end-to-end RPA automations. • Map business processes with stakeholders and propose improvements. • Ensure the quality, performance, and resilience of bots. • Implement best practices for version control, logging, and monitoring. • Investigate incidents and work on resolving production issues. • Document solutions and support the team in knowledge sharing. • Contribute to defining RPA standards and architecture.
