Financial Controller

• Responsible for financial controlling across the corporate group • Further development of cash flow planning, forecasting and budgeting processes • Create financial transparency for management and relevant stakeholders • Develop scenarios, forecasts and planning models to support strategic decision‑making • Support long‑term financial planning and resource management • Prepare meaningful reports on company and financial performance • Coordinate monthly finance processes in Germany and the UK • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes • Monitor liquidity and financial risks • Ensure reliable and scalable finance operations • Optimize operational finance processes through automation and simplification • Build and enhance project controlling structures • Monitor project profitability and budget development • Provide transparency on project economics and resource allocation • Develop business intelligence reporting and performance analyses • Collaborate with external tax advisors and accounting partners in Germany and the UK • Coordinate year‑end closing processes • Support intercompany settlements and international finance processes • Identify weaknesses and inefficiencies in existing finance processes • Develop and implement improved procedures • Drive automation initiatives using modern finance tools and AI
Job Requirements
- Several years of experience in financial controlling, FP&A, finance management, project controlling, or a comparable finance function
- Strong understanding of budgeting, forecasting, cash flow planning and financial reporting
- Experience working with external accounting partners and in year‑end closing processes
- Experience in international corporate environments
- Very good German and English skills
- Analytical thinking combined with a pragmatic approach
- Ability to independently build structures and drive initiatives
- Particularly relevant: experience with German, British, Irish, Australian, US, Maltese, Cypriot or similar Anglo‑Saxon finance environments
- Experience with multiple legal entities or international corporate structures
- Experience with intercompany settlements and international finance processes
- Experience in consulting, professional services, agencies, or project‑based business models
- Experience building finance structures in growing companies
- Nice to have: experience with Agicap, MOCO or comparable project‑controlling tools, finance automation tools, and using AI to optimize finance processes
