Manufacturing Test Engineer

Role Description Spectroscopy Product owner coupler with Manufacturing test development. - Collaborate with the product design team to determine product testing parameters. - Design, refresh or sustain tester software to meet product or sub module test parameter requirement. - Self-initiative to enhance manufacturing test flow coupled with some test automation knowledge. - Partner or collaborate with cross-functional teams in terms of cost objectives, component technology obsolescence, and customer requirements. - May work with suppliers to ensure achievement of goals for cost, quality, and delivery of parts and materials. - May participate in new product introduction, including influencing the design of the product to ensure manufacturability and conformance with the global supply chain, product test methodology, and tester development. - Enabling prototyping while in the R&D lab, testing the reliability of prototypes, and managing the transition into production. - Supports and implements the transition of products and manufacturing processes from prototype to full production and through the entire life cycle of the product. - Partners with procurement and technical services to improve/sustain products and processes. - May direct the work of third-party vendors and/or partners to meet contract specified deliverables, performance, or business objectives. Qualifications - Typically, 3+ years relevant experience for entry to this level. - Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering, or EE engineering. - Previous work experience as a test engineer. - Familiarity with testing tools including C#, Python, TestStand, and LabVIEW. - Knowledge of diagramming software including Microsoft Visio, Open source diagram. - Certain degree of electronic circuit understanding or test circuit design. - Knowledge of engineering and testing procedures. - Good problem-solving skills. - Ability to troubleshoot and think out of the box. - Medium or High-level technical writing skills.
