Job Description
Cloud & Platform Engineer
Storyteller
Role Description We run a fast-growing SaaS platform on Azure, and we're hiring one sharp engineer to own our cloud infrastructure end-to-end — making it leaner, faster, and more reliable as we scale. That person is you. We're a lean, ambitious business where infrastructure is a competitive advantage, not an afterthought. As we grow, we want someone who treats the cloud platform as something they're personally proud of — and the cloud bill as a product metric worth optimising. You'll start where the impact is most measurable: cloud cost and efficiency. Build clear visibility into where spend goes, attribute it properly, drive meaningful savings, and put the tooling and guardrails in place so efficiency holds as we scale. This isn't a finance exercise — it's an engineering one that happens to start with the bill. Where this role can go: - This is a role built to grow. Cost and efficiency is the starting point, not the ceiling. - As you establish yourself, the remit opens up across our wider technical operations — automation, reliability, deployment, security, tooling, and the infrastructure decisions that shape how the whole business runs. - There's genuine scope to move into new areas as the business evolves and as you show us what you're capable of. - We've deliberately kept the scope open, because we'd rather hire someone who helps define the role than someone who needs it handed to them finished. - For the right person, this is a rare chance to build a remit — and a career — from a blank canvas. It grows as fast as you do. What you'll do: - Own our Azure estate end-to-end, alongside the wider set of services that support it. - Build cost visibility and attribution from the ground up, then drive the savings. - Automate manual and repetitive work so the platform runs smoothly and predictably. - Strengthen reliability, deployment, and security as the business scales. - Make infrastructure decisions and own them end-to-end. - Grow your remit across whatever technical operations the business needs next. Qualifications - Know Azure deeply and work comfortably in IaC (Terraform / Bicep). - Can read a billing breakdown and immediately see where the opportunities are. - Reach for automation before doing anything twice. - Thrive in an environment with real ownership and evolving scope. - Take initiative and ship without needing to be chased. Requirements - Experience across multiple cloud providers. - Container orchestration. - CI/CD pipelines. - A strong security instinct. - A track record of building something from the ground up. Benefits - Up to EUR 25,000 salary on a full-time, permanent employment contract. - Fully remote working anywhere in Algeria! - 33 Days Paid Leave and Benefits. - Exciting high growth product, relied on by leading global brands, particularly within sports. - Working with the latest hardware, AI tools, and product workflows.
