Role Description The Senior Project Manager, independently manages multiple projects involving Oracle Health EHR, information systems, and database management. This role requires experience with multi-facility design, planning, execution, and oversight of complex initiatives. - Responsible for the technical aspects of project management and coordination with departmental and cross-functional teams. - Possesses comprehensive knowledge of all phases of the EHR system, deployments, and ongoing support. - Confident in leading projects, managing vendor resources, and ensuring on-time, on-budget delivery. - Strong communication skills and adherence to corporate and departmental policies are essential. Essential Functions - Coordinate efforts among multiple stakeholders, managing expectations of hospital executives and physicians. - Collaborate with local medical staff (nurses and technicians) and engage local technical resources (systems analysts and programmers). - Work closely with vendor support teams. - Lead the full lifecycle of large-scale, cross-functional, or strategically significant projects from initiation through closure. - Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, timelines, and success criteria in collaboration with business units and functional teams. - Manage detailed project plans, allocate resources, track milestones, and drive execution to ensure alignment with goals and deadlines. - Identify and mitigate project risks and issues, escalating as needed to maintain project progress. - Serve as the primary liaison for project updates, communicating progress, risks, and decisions to sponsors and senior leadership. - Oversee the preparation of project documentation, including charters, reports, schedules, and communication plans. - Ensure adherence to project management standards, methodologies, and governance frameworks. - Provide mentorship and guidance, fostering professional growth and performance. - Drive continuous improvement by recommending and implementing enhancements to tools, templates, and delivery processes. - Manage change control processes and evaluate the organizational impact of proposed changes. - Perform other duties as assigned. - Maintain regular and reliable attendance. - Comply with all policies and standards. Qualifications - Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Healthcare Administration, or a related field required. - A combination of education and experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. - 5-7 years of experience managing projects of increasing complexity required. Preferences - Minimum of 5 years of dedicated experience with Acute Facility EHR Implementation preferred. - Oracle Health EHR platform expertise preferred. - Proven multi-facility design, planning, and execution background in a hospital setting. - Comprehensive structural knowledge of all phases of the EHR deployment lifecycle and ongoing support preferred. - Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional teams and managing project portfolios or enterprise-wide initiatives preferred. - Expert-level proficiency across the full Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and Microsoft Project) preferred. - 3 years of experience utilizing Smartsheet for project tracking and centralization preferred. - Prior experience in healthcare, operations, or IT project environments preferred. - Certified Project Management Professional (PMP)-PMI preferred. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities - Expert knowledge of project management methodologies, tools, and lifecycle frameworks (e.g., Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid). - Proficient in project portfolio tools such as Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, or similar. - Exceptional problem-solving, organizational, and time management skills. - Skilled in facilitating collaboration across diverse teams and stakeholder groups. - Strong communication skills with the ability to tailor messaging to executives, sponsors, and technical teams. - Ability to work independently with limited supervision and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. - Demonstrated leadership, coaching, and mentoring capabilities. - Proactive and solution-oriented with strong attention to detail.
