Payroll Specialist

Role Description This role will be responsible for supporting US Payroll Service Delivery. You will own and manage core payroll components. As a Payroll Specialist, you will process multi-state payroll for all employees on a timely basis, ensuring accuracy in wages, bonuses, overtime, and deductions. Key responsibilities include: - Processing multi-state payroll - Managing deductions/garnishments - Maintaining payroll systems - Reconciling payroll accounts with the general ledger - Ensuring regulatory compliance - Assisting employees with payroll-related inquiries and resolving issues or discrepancies - Collaborating with HR, finance, and vendor teams as needed - Leading approaches and best practices toward strategy of the services - Ensuring delivery of quality processes and strategic priorities Qualifications - Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 4 years of relevant experience) - Minimum of three years of payroll experience Requirements - Workday payroll experience strongly preferred - Strong attention to detail and high levels of accuracy - Excellent organizational and time-management skills - Strong oral and written communication skills - Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously - Strong knowledge of payroll life-cycle and excel with quick adaptability to HCM systems, tools, and processes - Demonstrated skill in judgement to make decisions and handle complex tasks or problems - Ability to assess quality of information given and ask pertinent questions to stakeholders - Ability to offer new solutions to problems outside of set parameters and can construct and provide recommendations - Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs - Established project management skills - Demonstrated ability to transfer knowledge and develop others through coaching and mentoring - Detail and numerical oriented with good analytical and problem-solving skills - Articulate, adaptable, with excellent inter-personal and cross-cultural skills - Confidence to challenge and ask questions - Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with integrity Benefits - The base pay range for this position is $78,000 - 100,000 - Annual discretionary bonus based on a percentage of your base salary/commission based on the plan - Healthcare benefits include medical, dental, vision, and prescription drug coverage - Access to a Health Coach from GE Aerospace - Employee Assistance Program providing 24/7 confidential assessment, counseling, and referral services - Retirement benefits including the GE Aerospace Retirement Savings Plan and a 401(k) savings plan with company matching contributions - Tuition assistance - Adoption assistance - Paid parental leave - Disability insurance - Life insurance - Paid time-off for vacation or illness
