Area Business Manager

Edwards Lifesciences

• Serve as the operations business manager for the East region • Partner closely with Area Sales leadership as a trusted liaison, contributing to business reviews, strategic planning, operational efficiency and other key initiatives • Apply deep expertise in Area business trends, pricing, rebates and contracts to deliver actionable analyses and insights through comprehensive workups and rigorous account due diligence • Generate strategic insights for management decisions via ad hoc analyses, reporting and scenario modeling • Consolidate and transform complex data and analyses into compelling presentations that communicate results, recommendations, and insights to management • Own Sales Enablement platforms, leading systems onboarding, technical troubleshooting and cross-functional partnership to ensure seamless operations • Lead strategic sales enablement initiatives that deliver measurable business outcomes through cross-functional collaboration with key partners such as Marketing, Sales Operations, Sales Training, Physician Training, and IT. • Deploy and optimize customer segmentation models, ensuring alignment of business resources to high-value opportunities • Drive utilization and effectiveness of cross-functional customer-facing programs by improving visibility, assessing impact and refining strategies in partnership with key stakeholders • Design, deliver and train on customer-facing and internal sales tools that enhance decision-making and accelerate business growth

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in in related field, 10 years years experience of previous related experience or equivalent work experience based on Edwards criteria
  • Experience in architecting, developing and deploying business intelligence, analytics and reporting solutions to internal and external stakeholders or equivalent work experience based on Edwards criteria
  • Master’s Degree or equivalent with 7+ years of related experience working in Sales, Marketing or Sales Operations in the medical device, healthcare or cardiovascular space
  • Experience interfacing and influencing stakeholders in complex organizations with multiple BUs and global cross-functional groups including the ability to gain resolutions and build consensus with key stakeholders in challenging situations
  • Proven successful project management skills
  • Proven expertise in Microsoft Office Suite, business intelligence and analytics tools (e.g., Tableau, Python) required
  • Excellent documentation and communication skills and interpersonal relationship skills including negotiating and relationship management skills with ability to drive achievement of objectives
  • Expert understanding of quantitative methodologies, techniques and tools to develop best in class analytic solutions
  • Understanding of industry trends as it relates to sales and marketing optimization and data analytics
  • Strict attention to detail
  • Ability to interact professionally with all organizational levels and proactively escalate issues to appropriate levels of management in the organization
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast paced environment
  • Interacts with team members and peer managers, normally involving matters between cross-functional teams and the company; often leads a cooperative effort among members of a project team
  • Adhere to all company rules and requirements (e.g., pandemic protocols, Environmental Health & Safety rules) and take adequate control measures in preventing injuries to themselves and others as well as to the protection of environment and prevention of pollution under their span of influence/control

Deliver a documented inventory of systems, identify orphaned accounts and excessive privileges, and implement a repeatable access review process. • Increase identity and access management maturity across the organization by driving MFA adoption, expanding SSO coverage where technically feasible, documenting exceptions, and establishing standardized provisioning and deprovisioning workflows. • Partner with Operations stakeholders to assess Coursedog's readiness for SOC 2. Identify control gaps, document current-state processes, implement foundational workflows and evidence collection procedures, and deliver a prioritized roadmap toward successful audit readiness. • Establish baseline IT operational processes, including ticket triage, support documentation, access request workflows, and system ownership records, creating a sustainable foundation for future scale. • Leave the organization with clear documentation, repeatable processes, and measurable improvements in security posture, access governance, and employee self-service capabilities.
