Role Description This is the senior technical leadership role for our Checkout Champ and Shopify funnel stack. You'll own the architecture end-to-end — from spec to production deploy — across three growing consumer brands (Gekko Gifts, Purvos, Besyner), with more launches planned. You'll lead all complex builds, mentor a junior developer, and have final say on QA and production releases. If you want to own outcomes rather than wait for direction, this is the seat. What You'll Own - Checkout Champ: - End-to-end Checkout Champ funnel architecture and strategy - Custom subscription flows and complex rebill logic - Building and configuring upsell/downsell sequences, order bumps, and post-purchase flows at a strategic level - Payment gateway configuration and advanced troubleshooting - Final QA sign-off and production deploys - Shopify: - Full ownership of Shopify theme architecture, Liquid development, and storefront customization across all brands - Leading API integration work between platforms — from spec through deployment - Resolving complex display/functional issues across storefronts - Overseeing third-party app configuration and integration strategy - Tracking & Performance: - Owning pixel and tracking architecture — Meta, Google, native platform events - Diagnosing and resolving tracking discrepancies at the source - Translating checkout flow changes into measurable conversion impact, working closely with media buying - Team Leadership: - Directing and mentoring a Junior Checkout Champ Developer — assigning scoped tasks, reviewing work, and developing their path to ownership - Setting technical standards, documentation practices, and code review processes - Reviewing Checkout Champ and Shopify release notes and assessing impact across the stack Qualifications - 4+ years of hands-on experience with Checkout Champ, including ownership of multiple live, high-traffic funnels - Advanced Shopify expertise — Liquid, theme architecture, storefront customization, app ecosystem - Strong JavaScript and front-end development skills (HTML, CSS) - Proven experience designing subscription/rebill logic and complex payment gateway configurations - Track record of API integration work from spec to deployment - Deep understanding of conversion funnels and how technical decisions move CRO/AOV metrics - Experience mentoring or leading junior developers - Excellent written communication — async-first, remote team, clarity is non-negotiable Portfolio Requirement Portfolio is mandatory. • The Project Developer III is responsible for the collection of information of the design requirements for a building project by interacting with clients to identify project specifications and budgets. • Utilizing programming information, the Developer, Project III produces schematic designs and floor plans that depict the scope of work for facility improvements that meet the requirements of the client. • Identifies construction materials, produces cost estimates for the defined construction work and collaborates with the development team members for the development of scopes of work for all trades required for the implementation of the project. • Responsible for the transfer of project information and ideas to building design consultants as they supervise the production of construction documents. • Builds and maintains strong relationships with Owners, Architects, Engineers, Project Team, and Subcontractors. • Communicates regularly with all team members regarding project development progress, open and closed tasks and issues. • Participates in customer facing presentations throughout the development process. • Conduct facility walk-thru to identify/verify preliminary scope items. • Prepare a preliminary cost estimate for the general construction Improvement Measures that address customer needs. • Provide facility existing building construction condition descriptions and general construction improvement explanations. • Verify Feasibility cost estimates. • Develop conceptual floor plans and elevation drawings for Presentation to Owner. • Update the development timeline, budget and project development control index. • Develop detailed General Construction Scopes of Work, Specifications and Preliminary Implementation Schedule. • Facilitate subcontractor pre-bid meeting and facility walk-thru with Regional Operations Manager and Project Engineer. • Address any Requests for Information on General Construction items. • Receive subcontractor bids and review for completeness. • Finalize costs and access project risk with the Regional Operations Manager and Project Engineer. • Build the Final Project Estimate. • Assist the Account Manager with the compilation of the final proposal document and prepare presentation drawings/renderings as necessary for the RFP Response and potential interview. • Participate in project interviews. • Assemble schematic/design development package for transfer to third-party Architects. • Engage third-party consultants for design assistance, contract documents or code review. • Define final project scope and revise Scope of Work Documents to rebid as necessary. • Finalize the Project Estimate. • Assist with the Final Contract preparation. • Participate in final Turnover Meeting with the Development and Operations Teams. • Assist the Regional Operations Manager with the review of Submittals and Shop Drawings. • Support the Project Manager as required during Construction. • Note: The statements contained herein describe the essential functions of this position but should not be an all-inclusive listing of work requirements.

• Understand the AI game design and ensure that the developers understand it. • Review game design from technical point of view, suggest improvements which reduce technical scope and technical risks. • Ensure code maintainability and manage technical debt. • Define team workflows (code reviews, automated tests, ticket granularity, number and format of sync meetings, etc.). • Ensure the quality of technical designs. • Assess developers’ skills and communicate expectations to them. • Ensure a reasonable velocity for delivering new features. • Ensure there are no bugs that interfere with playtesting the project. • Serve as the point of contact on the project regarding the implementation of gameplay features. • Collaborate with producers and game designers. • Assess the feasibility of the roadmap for gameplay feature development and escalate risks.
