Role Description As a Legal Counsel, you'll become a trusted legal partner for product, marketing, operations, and leadership teams, helping us grow responsibly while staying compliant across key markets. - Provide Legal Guidance Across the Business: - Advise product, marketing, operations, and other teams on GDPR, IP, IT, employment, consumer rights, and regulatory matters. - Identify legal risks and provide practical recommendations that support business goals while ensuring compliance. - Draft, Review & Negotiate Contracts: - Prepare, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements, including service, partnership, agency, licensing, distribution, and vendor contracts. - Support business stakeholders throughout the contract lifecycle. - Support Mobile App Operations: - Maintain the full legal framework for our mobile applications. - Draft and update Terms of Use, Privacy Policies, Cookie Policies, and other user-facing legal documents. - Ensure compliance with consumer protection and subscription regulations across multiple jurisdictions. - Monitor Regulatory Changes: - Stay up to date with developments in data protection, intellectual property, marketing, payments, consumer rights, and technology law. - Translate regulatory changes into actionable recommendations for internal teams. - Collaborate Cross-Functionally: - Partner closely with Product, Marketing, Operations, Finance, and Leadership teams. - Help balance legal requirements with business objectives in a fast-paced product environment. Qualifications - 2–3 years of legal experience supporting digital subscription businesses, SaaS, mobile apps, or technology companies. - Strong knowledge of: - GDPR and privacy regulations; - Intellectual Property law; - Consumer protection requirements; - Product development and digital business considerations. - Experience working with international jurisdictions, particularly across North America and Europe. - Ability to explain complex legal concepts in a practical, business-friendly way. - Professional fluency in English. • Supervise attorneys and advocates, including workload management, training, mentoring, and monitoring staff. • Lead a work team with emphasis on assisting the team in developing and implementing strategies to accomplish team goals. • Ensure that all work complies with grant requirements and meets procedural and quality standards, including proper handling of personally identifiable information. • Conduct at least weekly teleconferences with attorneys and advocates regarding work. • Respond to inquiries and complaints concerning services. • Train attorneys, advocates, clients and others in substantive disability rights law. • Collaborate with ACE Supervision Team to lead and/or assist in ACE projects and work, including leading hiring teams. • Coordinate with colleagues to maximize resources and promote quality client services. • Conduct quality assurance reviews of casework and outreach on a regular periodic basis. • Compile reports by supervisees for submission to LAU Director in support of LAU’s grant reporting obligations. • Perform outreach and support and monitor supervisee outreach efforts to traditionally underserved communities. • Perform other duties as assigned.

• Handle complex and high exposure litigation • Analyze intricate substantive and procedural legal and factual issues, conduct extensive, well-reasoned legal research, independently develop and present defense strategies on behalf of clients • Prepare complex pleadings, written discovery, depositions, motions and briefs in support of defense strategies without supervision because of level of experience and expertise • Provide effective and timely communications, information, legal advice and other services to clients and claims customers on legal and factual issues in a technology driven environment • Communicate with the court, witnesses, opposing counsel and co-counsel in a manner consistent with established office procedures • Provide for the prompt, efficient and effective disposition of assigned cases • Independently prepare and present witnesses and evidence at trials, judicial hearings and alternative dispute resolutions • Research, draft, file and argue appellate briefs in reviewing courts on behalf of clients • Provide opinions to Managing Attorney, staff, clients and claims customers

• Independently handle lawsuits involving premise liability, products liability, commercial and personal automobile accidents, construction site accidents, subrogation and property damage claims • Prepare pleadings, written discovery, reports, motions and briefs in support of defense strategies without supervision • Conduct legal research and independently develop and present defense strategies on behalf of clients • Analyze substantive and procedural legal and factual issues • Provide effective and timely communications, legal advice and other services to clients and claims customers on legal and factual issues in a technology driven environment • Communicate with the court, witnesses, opposing counsel and co-counsel in a manner consistent with established office procedures • Independently prepare and present witnesses and evidence at trials, judicial hearings and alternative dispute resolutions • Prompt, efficient and effective disposition of assigned cases • Attend continuing legal education seminars in order to maintain high level of professional expertise
