About The RoleAs a **Senior Backend Engineer**, you will build scalable and resilient systems that power modern financial services. You will work in a cloud-native environment and take ownership of services that directly impact our platform. This is a hands-on role for engineers who enjoy end-to-end responsibility and technical excellence. In this role, you will design and operate cloud-native microservices within a modern, distributed architecture, working closely with product, architecture, and DevOps teams to deliver reliable and scalable solutions. You will also contribute to the technical direction and help foster engineering excellence across the team. **What You’ll Do** - Design, build, and operate cloud-native microservices for our financial services platform - Develop scalable and resilient backend systems using Java, Kotlin, and Spring Boot - Own features end to end, from technical design to implementation, testing, and production - Enhance CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code practices using modern DevOps tooling - Mentor engineers and drive quality through code reviews, testing, and best practices
Job Requirements
- Several years of professional experience in software engineering, with a strong backend focus
- Deep expertise in Java and/or Kotlin and frameworks such as Spring Boot
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (Azure) and Kubernetes-based environments
- Strong understanding of distributed systems, software architecture, and design patterns
- Experience with databases and messaging systems such as PostgreSQL, Redis, Kafka, or RabbitMQ
