Role Description We are hiring a Director, Finance Business Partner - Commercial to lead pricing execution and commercial economic integrity across Nscale’s US operations. This role will operate as the US execution lead for Commercial Finance - owning pricing mechanics, unit economics application, deal feasibility analysis, and economic consistency across transactions. As Nscale scales its AI infrastructure footprint and product offerings, this role ensures commercial velocity is supported by a disciplined, bankable, and standardized economic engine. The role sits at the intersection of Sales, Strategy, Infrastructure and FP&A - translating business strategy into executable, financeable commercial outcomes. This is a highly visible leadership role supporting large enterprise transactions, new product monetization, GPU infrastructure deployments, and margin governance across the US region. This role will be supporting a team that is based in PST and it will be required that applicants understand that they will need to work West Coast hours. Responsibilities - Own pricing execution for US commercial transactions. - Operate and maintain the US implementation of Nscale’s global pricing engine. - Ensure a single source of truth for pricing assumptions and cost stack inputs. - Apply and enforce margin guardrails and pricing governance. - Lead repricing mechanics (chip transitions, contractual uplifts, product/design evolution). - Prevent model duplication and assumption fragmentation across stakeholders. - Lead economic feasibility analysis for US transactions, ensuring deals are viable, financeable, and contractually aligned. - Partner with Strategy on complex transactions and new monetisation models (e.g. token-based inference pricing), supplying the economic foundation for structuring. - Quantify funding and working capital requirements, assessing advance payment structures, and margin risk under different financing scenarios. - Support customer negotiations by articulating cost assumptions and economic rationale. - Ensure back-to-back alignment across customer, Colo, OEM, and financing arrangements. - Quantify SLA exposure and delay-related cost impacts to inform deployment prioritisation and capital allocation. - Translate infrastructure capacity inputs into commercial inventory availability. - Ensure pricing assumptions reflect GPU allocation realities and infrastructure constraints. - Partner with AI Capacity Planning to align deployment timing with revenue expectations. - Provide economic drivers supporting integrated business planning and capital efficiency. - Provide commercial economic drivers into FP&A forecasting and planning. - Align pipeline economics with revenue, margin, and capital planning expectations. - Act as the US Finance authority for deal economics and pricing consistency. - Support audit, governance, and commercial commitment oversight. KPIs - Pricing turnaround time and accuracy. - Effectiveness of economic insight in shaping major US commercial decisions. - Margin performance vs target. - Reduction in model fragmentation. - Forecast alignment (pipeline to revenue). - SLA exposure visibility & mitigation.
