Position Overview The Mid-Level Developer supports implementation of AWS Cloud Native solutions as part of a large-scale legacy system-of-systems modernization initiative. Working within an Agile Scrum Team, this role executes modernization tasks under the technical direction of Senior-Level Developers and Architects. The Mid-Level Developer is responsible for building scalable, secure, and maintainable Python-based services and data-processing components aligned to defined migration plans and architectural patterns. This role contributes to modernization velocity while ensuring alignment to established standards and DevSecOps practices.   Key Responsibilities Support of Systems Inventory & Migration Execution - Assist in documenting legacy system behavior and dependencies during structured discovery efforts. - Support analysis of legacy components identified in the systems inventory. - Contribute technical input to migration activities under Senior-Level Developer guidance. - Implement migration tasks aligned to approved phased migration plans. - Support refactor and modernization of scoped system components.   Python-Based Application Development - Develop and maintain Python-based microservices and data processing modules. - Implement user stories derived from EPIC decomposition. - Refactor defined legacy modules into cloud-compatible components. - Write clean, modular, testable code aligned to established architectural standards. - Participate in code reviews and incorporate feedback. AWS Cloud Native Implementation - Develop application components for AWS environments including: - Lambda - ECS / Fargate - S3 - EventBridge - SNS/SQS - Aurora/Postgres - Implement API integrations and event-driven workflows. - Contribute to containerization and serverless deployments. - Ensure code complies with enterprise cloud guardrails and security standards.   DevSecOps & CI/CD Participation - Develop CI/CD-compatible code. - Write and maintain automated unit tests. - Participate in pipeline troubleshooting. - Address defects and security findings. - Support observability implementation (logging, metrics). Agile Scrum Team Participation - Participate in Sprint Planning, Daily Standups, Reviews, and Retrospectives. - Contribute to story estimation and backlog refinement discussions. - Deliver committed sprint objectives. - Collaborate closely with Test Engineers to resolve defects.   Integration & Quality Support - Assist in validating component-level integrations. - Escalate cross-system integration risks to Senior Developers. - Support documentation updates tied to implementation changes. - Contribute to regression remediation efforts.

• Collaborate with other professionals to determine functional and non-functional requirements. • Develop SAP B1 functional solutions and enhancements alongside other product development team members with attention to system integration, scalability, maintainability, usability, and performance. • A passionate advocate for disciplined and iterative development approaches. • Work closely with other engineers, as well as Product Management, QA, UX/UI Designers, and Support teams. • Responsible for all areas of product life cycle - analysis, design, coding, unit testing, and troubleshooting. • Participate in product demos and in agile processes. • Assist with technical content gathering for documentation. • Provide product and industry leadership by developing subject matter expertise and sharing best practices to other teams.

• Participate in team projects to remediate and upgrade administrative transactional systems migrated to the State IT Data Center. • Modernize legacy systems to ASP.NET MVC or CORE environments. • Modify existing systems to comply with agency security requirements. • Migrate systems from older platforms to newer platforms following industry best practices. • Ensure maximum system uptime for critical components. • Diagnose, debug, and resolve software issues. • Monitor system capacity and performance, execute disaster recovery procedures, and provide Tier 2 technical support. • Follow SDLC and agency IT application development and security standards. • Manage code in Git repositories. • Ensure applications are compatible with major web browsers (IE, Chrome, Firefox). • Update database connection strings for migrations from DB2 to SQL. • Add functionality to retire active mainframe forms and streamline backend processes. • Prepare and maintain system documentation and architecture diagrams. • Collaborate with project teams and subject matter experts for system design, testing, and implementation. • Plan, organize, review, and implement project milestones. • Assist in designing system architectures aligned with strategic business objectives. • Provide updates to the Project Team. • Develop policies and procedures to comply with cyber security requirements (NIST 800-53, FISMA, SC InfoSec).

• Develop, test, and deploy end-to-end automation solutions using Automation Anywhere (A360). • Collaborate with clients and internal teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical designs. • Optimize and maintain existing automation, troubleshoot issues, and implement improvements. • Create and maintain technical documentation, including process designs, user guides, and release notes. • Participate in code reviews and provide mentorship to junior developers as needed. • Communicate effectively in English with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. • Stay current with RPA trends and best practices, proposing innovative ideas to improve our offerings.
