Job Description

Associate Internal Auditor

Lead

• Carry out the vision and mission of Internal Audit to enhance and protect organizational value • Support risk-based operational, financial and compliance audits and consulting reviews under the guidance of senior team members • Perform audit procedures including planning, fieldwork, documentation, and follow-up activities related to assessing design and operating effectiveness of internal controls over financial reporting • Evaluate compliance with established policies, procedures, laws and regulations • Identify audit issues and root causes, and contribute to recommendations for improved internal controls and business processes • Prepare clear and concise audit observations and workpapers for review by senior audit staff • Support the development and implementation of corrective action plans • Participate in walkthroughs with process owners and management to understand control environments

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or related field required
  • 1-3 years of internal audit, external audit, or related experience
  • CIA, CPA, or other professional designation (or willingness to obtain certification within 24 months)
  • Are curious, have humility, are open to learning and approach your work with a growth mindset
  • Thrive working in a fluid environment with high autonomy
  • Display strong communication skills and eagerness to learn from more experienced team members
  • Have strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make judgments with the information provided
  • Comfortable learning and responsibly using emerging technologies, including AI tools, to support audit work while understanding the importance of human judgment, verification, and knowing when to seek guidance from senior team members
  • Proficient using spreadsheet, slide, and flowcharting tools
  • Preferred: Banking, financial services, or fintech industry experience
  • Preferred: Operational audit experience
