Role Description We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Accounting Lead (Controller-level) with strong financial ownership and CFO-level thinking. This is not a basic bookkeeping role. We are looking for someone who can take ownership of accounting operations, improve systems, and provide financial insight that supports business decisions. You will manage full-cycle accounting, multi-entity reporting, and financial accuracy across business operations while helping leadership understand the financial health of the company. Responsibilities - Accounting & Financial Operations - Full-cycle accounting (GL, AP/AR, payroll, bank reconciliations, month-end close) - Maintain accurate and audit-ready books in QuickBooks Online - Multi-entity and intercompany transactions - Ensure financial data accuracy and completeness - Reporting & Analysis - Prepare financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) - Perform variance analysis and provide meaningful insights - Support leadership with financial reporting and visibility - Process & System Ownership - Identify gaps in accounting workflows and improve processes - Maintain structured and organized financial systems - Support continuous improvement of accounting operations - Compliance & Support - Support audit preparation and documentation - Assist with tax-related coordination (e.g., 1099s, sales tax support) - Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal policies Qualifications - Must be a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent accounting qualification - Strong experience in accounting or bookkeeping in a senior or lead capacity - Experience working with US-based clients, companies, or accounting standards (US GAAP preferred) - Strong expertise in QuickBooks Online (multi-company and intercompany transactions preferred) - Experience handling full-cycle accounting, including month-end close and financial reporting - Familiarity with financial statements, variance analysis, and audit support - Basic knowledge of US tax compliance processes (e.g., 1099s, sales tax coordination) - Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal) - Comfortable working with US-based teams and business culture - Available to work during EST business hours - Ability to work independently with strong ownership mindset - Healthcare background is a plus but not required Who You Are - A problem solver, not a task executor - A builder who improves systems, not just maintains them - A strategic thinker with CFO-level mindset - Highly detail-oriented and accountable - Proactive and independent - Strong communicator in a remote work environment Work Setup - Remote (Philippines-based applicants only) - Must be available during EST business hours - Long-term contract role
