• Manage and advance affirmative and defensive litigation matters, including tracking case status, deadlines, and critical next steps • Partner closely with the Senior Legal Operations Specialist in preparing case files, organizing matter documentation, and maintaining accurate records across active matters • Work closely with outside counsel to gather materials, respond to requests, and help advance cases through each stage of the litigation lifecycle • Coordinate internally with relevant teams (e.g., Operations, Finance, Servicing) to collect information and documentation needed for legal matters • Support the Legal Department in deploying, managing, and improving tools, technology systems, and organizational workflows that drive team efficiency • Master and utilize Lendbuzz’s proprietary tools and cloud platforms as a central part of daily data workflows • Draft and review routine legal correspondence, demand letters, and other matter-related documents under attorney supervision • Help maintain the Legal Department’s matter management systems, calendars, and filing structures • Assist with additional and cross-functional legal projects and department initiatives as needed
Job Requirements
- 2+ years of hands-on experience as a paralegal or legal specialist within a corporate legal/compliance department **OR** 2+ years of extensive operational experience handling automotive titles, dealership processing, or automotive loan servicing
- Prior exposure to the litigation lifecycle, legal operations frameworks, or digital matter management systems
- Direct experience working within auto lending, consumer finance, asset recovery, or high-volume collections litigation is a significant plus
- A detail-oriented self-starter who can work independently in a remote or hybrid environment while keeping team priorities perfectly aligned
- Exceptional organizational skills with a proven capacity to manage and balance multiple complex, open legal matters simultaneously
- Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills for collaborating across internal teams and with outside legal counsel
- Strong willingness and capacity to learn proprietary software systems, adapt to updated tech stacks, and maintain neat digital files
- Bachelor’s degree required; a Paralegal Certificate from an ABA-approved program is a plus
