Senior Software Development Engineer in Test, SDET/AI

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable end-to-end (E2E), integration, and API testing frameworks from scratch. • Build automated quality infrastructure that supports rapid product development and deployment. • Develop testing frameworks and evaluation systems for AI/LLM-powered applications, including agentic workflows and RAG-based systems. • Create automated guardrails, confidence metrics, regression detection, and traceability mechanisms for non-deterministic AI systems. • Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines to enable reliable and continuous delivery. • Leverage AI coding tools such as Cursor, Claude Code, and GitHub Copilot to accelerate test development and maintenance. • Collaborate closely with software engineers to improve testability and establish quality standards across backend and frontend systems. • Implement testing strategies for REST and GraphQL APIs, authentication flows, and microservice architectures. • Monitor application quality in production using observability and analytics tools. • Help drive a culture of engineering excellence, automation, and quality ownership across distributed teams.
Job Requirements
- Senior-level experience as an SDET or Test Automation Engineer.
- Strong proficiency in TypeScript and Node.js.
- Hands-on experience with Playwright (preferred), Cypress, or Puppeteer.
- Extensive experience testing REST and GraphQL APIs, including authentication and authorization flows.
- Experience integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines.
- Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL and test data management.
- Proven ability to design and build testing frameworks from scratch.
- Experience working independently in remote, async-first environments.
- Practical experience with AI-assisted development tools such as Cursor, Claude Code, and GitHub Copilot.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Core Duties: - Use a software design to produce a software test solution - Test a software solution to prove that it meets its design aims and requirements via analysis of data gathered during testing - Assist in the creation of software estimates for testing of a software sub-system - Manage the production of release notes and product certification for all identified builds - Manage the production and maintenance of the Software Test Plan (STP) - Manage the production and maintenance of the Software Test Descriptions (STDs) necessary to perform the Verification & Validation activities - Manage the generation of the Software Test Reports (STRs) - Participate in the production and maintenance of any Component Test Plans - Manage the production and maintenance of the VCRI and using the VCRI to assist proving that the software satisfies the requirements.
