Role Description Rackspace Technology is seeking an experienced and strategic Senior Manager, Global Benefits to lead the design, administration, governance, and continuous improvement of our global benefits programs across 22 countries. This role is responsible for ensuring that Rackspace offers competitive, compliant, and cost-effective benefits that support employee wellbeing, attract top talent, and align with the company's global people strategy. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in multinational benefits management, with a demonstrated track record of designing and administering benefits programs across diverse geographic regions. The majority of Rackspace employees are located in the United States, India, and the United Kingdom, making experience in these markets particularly important. This is a fully remote leadership position that manages a team of two Senior Benefits Analysts and partners closely with HR, Finance, Payroll, Legal, Procurement, and external benefit providers worldwide. Key Responsibilities - Global Benefits Strategy & Design: - Develop and execute a comprehensive global benefits strategy aligned with Rackspace's business objectives and talent priorities. - Evaluate, design, and enhance employee benefit programs across 22 countries, including health and welfare, retirement, wellbeing, leave programs, and other employee benefits. - Conduct market benchmarking and competitive analyses to ensure programs remain attractive and cost-effective. - Recommend innovative solutions that enhance the employee experience while balancing financial stewardship. - Benefits Administration & Operations: - Oversee the day-to-day administration of global benefits programs and vendor relationships. - Ensure accurate enrollment, eligibility, compliance, communications, and issue resolution across all countries. - Establish and maintain effective controls, policies, and procedures to support operational excellence. - Partner with Payroll and HR Operations to ensure seamless administration and employee support. - Compliance & Governance: - Ensure compliance with applicable benefits regulations, tax requirements, and employment laws across all jurisdictions. - Monitor legislative and regulatory developments and proactively implement required changes. - Manage audits, reporting requirements, and governance processes related to benefits programs. - Vendor & Financial Management: - Lead relationships with brokers, consultants, insurers, and third-party administrators globally. - Support annual renewals, contract negotiations, and vendor performance management. - Develop and manage benefits budgets, forecasting, and cost-containment initiatives. - Utilize data and analytics to evaluate program effectiveness and identify opportunities for improvement. - Leadership & Stakeholder Partnership: - Lead, coach, and develop a team of two Benefits Analysts. - Build strong partnerships with HR Business Partners, Talent Acquisition, Finance, Legal, and executive stakeholders. - Provide subject matter expertise and strategic recommendations to senior leadership. - Drive effective employee communications and benefits education initiatives. Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Finance, or a related field. - 8+ years of progressive benefits experience, including significant responsibility for global benefits programs. - Proven track record managing benefits design and administration across multiple countries and regions. - Demonstrated experience supporting large employee populations in the United States, India, and the United Kingdom. - Strong knowledge of global benefits practices, compliance requirements, and vendor management. - Experience leading benefits teams and developing talent. - Excellent analytical, financial, project management, and problem-solving skills. - Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities, with experience influencing senior leaders. Preferred Qualifications - Experience in a global technology or services organization. - CEBS, CBP, SHRM, or other relevant professional certification. - Experience leading benefits-related technology implementations and process improvements. - Familiarity with mergers, acquisitions, and global workforce integration activities. Success Profile The successful candidate is a strategic and hands-on benefits leader who combines deep global expertise with operational excellence. They are comfortable navigating complex international environments, leveraging data to inform decisions, and delivering exceptional employee experiences while ensuring compliance and fiscal responsibility across a global workforce. Compensation Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several geographic markets. The compensation range for this position ranges from $132,149.00/year in our lowest geographic market up to 193,856.30 USD/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
