Data Scientist / Algorithm Engineer – AdTech

MGID

• Explore large-scale event data to identify trends, patterns, and anomalies • Analyze data to support decision-making • Design, implement, optimize and test algorithms for CPA optimization • Build and refine predictive models for CPA campaigns • Collaborate with product/business/tech teams to turn findings into actionable decisions • Conduct and evaluate A/B tests • Create dashboards and visualizations to track KPIs

Job Requirements

  • Proven experience in data science
  • Strong understanding of optimization problems
  • Proficient in Python and SQL
  • Expertise in machine learning techniques and tools (e.g., CatBoost, XGBoost, TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn)
  • Experience with big data technologies (Spark, Hadoop)
  • English: Intermediate/Upper-Intermediate
  • MSc or PhD in Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics or related fields is a plus
  • Familiarity with the AdTech domain is a plus
  • Hands-on experience with A/B testing and business metric optimization is a plus

Our growing Core Data & Analytics Data Science Team provides high-quality, on-time data science-related products and services across all business areas and teams within Ibotta. This role will be primarily focused on building data assets and analytics solutions for the revenue organization. As a Staff Data Scientist, you’ll have the unique, challenging, and rewarding opportunity to be responsible for using the latest developments in statistics and machine learning. Using these skills, you will identify and build strategic opportunities to grow the business, support initiatives, and drive value. In addition, you will be expected to build accurate and reliable Machine Learning models for use throughout the organization.
