The HoD sets the standard for course delivery within a designated set of subject areas, blending academic oversight with collaborative team management to ensure every student, regardless of location or learning mode, receives a world-class education. At CGA, we believe excellent teaching is an act of unlocking potential. The HoD plays a critical role in upholding that belief, leading teachers in the Small Group Live and Flex learning modes and ensuring the principles of our Instructional Model are embedded consistently across every classroom. This role also works in close collaboration with the One-to-One Live (DaVinci) HoD, providing materials, guidance, and support across the USDP pathway as needed. Key Responsibilities - Champion CGA's teaching philosophy and ensure it is reflected in every lesson across the department. - Ensure all teachers follow the designated syllabus for their assigned courses. - Maintain standardization of content, including textbooks, digital tools, and resources, across multiple streams of the same course. - Develop and implement a standard assessment scheme to ensure consistency in how assignments, homework, and tests are set, graded, and weighted. - Conduct weekly class audits by reviewing LMS content, graded assignments, and recorded lessons to uphold instructional quality. - Support teachers in delivering against CGA's Teaching Excellence Rubric, fostering active student engagement, innovative learning design, expanding thinking, differentiated learner support, and feedback practices that move learning forward. - Champion the development of graduates who are Ignited, Connected, and Launched, ensuring department teaching practices actively cultivate these outcomes. - Ensure teaching excellence is consistent across Small Group Live and Flex delivery modes. This role supports the One-to-One Live (DaVinci) pathway when needed, providing materials and guidance in collaboration with the dedicated DaVinci HoD. Administration and Reporting - Attend fortnightly meetings with the Dean to receive updates on CGA-wide activity and report on departmental feedback. - Hold fortnightly meetings with department teachers to share institutional updates and provide structured feedback on their class delivery. - Submit fortnightly reports to the Academic Dean using the standard CGA template, covering key departmental updates. - Act as a positive ambassador for CGA, fostering a culture of encouragement and professional pride among department staff. Company Description Crimson Global Academy (CGA) is a world-leading online school with students in more than 30 countries and a teaching staff drawn predominantly from New Zealand, Australia and the United Kingdom. Every one of our teachers is a subject expert, and our strong pastoral care network ensures students learn in a safe and inclusive environment. Students at CGA study at a level that matches their academic competence rather than their age, which means a significant proportion of our cohort is working ahead of their peer group. Combined with curriculum flexibility, cutting-edge technology and the opportunity to accelerate, CGA offers an unusually rich environment for students with the drive to excel. Our academic results speak for themselves.

Role Description KITSCH is seeking a Photo Retoucher who brings technical precision, speed, and a high personal standard to a high-volume product photography pipeline. This is not a role for someone who delivers files that are simply done — it is for someone who delivers files they are proud of. You will be responsible for retouching product images to brand standard every week, minimizing revision rounds through disciplined self-review, and contributing to a smooth, predictable post-production operation. If you have a sharp eye, a consistent output, and you thrive in a structured, accountable environment, we want to hear from you. Qualifications - 2+ years of experience in photo retouching with a focus on product or e-commerce photography. - Demonstrated ability to maintain high output volume — 20+ images per week — without sacrificing accuracy or brand consistency. - Expert-level proficiency in Adobe Photoshop; familiarity with Lightroom or comparable tools a plus. - Strong understanding of background removal, shadow application, color correction, and standardized collection coloring techniques. - Disciplined self-reviewer — consistently catches errors before they reach the review stage. - Experience with or demonstrated willingness to adopt AI-assisted retouching tools (background removal, batch color matching, etc.). - Clear, proactive communicator — flags issues before deadlines, not after. - Reliable and structured — works independently within defined hours and delivers consistently without supervision. - Portfolio demonstrating clean, on-brand product retouching required. Requirements - Retouch and deliver a minimum of 20 on-brand product images per week meeting all department standards. - Complete initial retouching within 4 business days of asset delivery — flag blockers immediately, do not wait. - Ensure every delivered file meets the correct background color, shadow application, and standardized collection coloring without exception. - Self-review every file before submission — approach your own work the way a reviewer would. - Target 90% or more of images approved within 2 rounds of revision; treat anything beyond 2 rounds as a signal to identify and fix the root cause. - Maintain a 98% or higher file accuracy rate on periodic audits across background, shadow, and coloring standards. - Test and integrate at least 2 AI-supported retouching tools into your workflow by end of Q2. - Post your workload status in the designated Slack channel within 40 minutes of starting your shift, every day without exception. - Flag any blocker or anticipated delay within 1 business day of identifying it. - Any changes to your standard hours of 8am–4pm PST require pre-approval. - Organize folders and file handoffs correctly — keep the pipeline clean without being asked. - Contribute to a smooth post-production workflow by maintaining clear, consistent file naming and delivery practices.
