Senior Animator

Role Description We are seeking talented Senior Animators to join our team in Australia. This role involves creating high-quality, expressive, and compelling animation across a variety of characters and creatures. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of animation principles, excellent technical skills, and a proven ability to deliver exceptional work within production timelines. - Create polished, high-fidelity keyframe animation that meets the aesthetic and technical requirements of the project. - Collaborate closely with the Animation Director, Designers, and Technical Artists to ensure animations integrate seamlessly into the final product. - Contribute to the development of animation pipelines, tools, and best practices. - Participate in motion capture direction, cleanup, and implementation when required. - Iterate rapidly on animation assets based on feedback from the team and playtesting/dailies. Qualifications - 5+ years of professional experience, with demonstrated ownership over significant animation features or sequences. - Expert-level keyframe animation skills and a deep understanding of character mechanics and performance capture data. - Proven ability to self-manage tasks, prioritise effectively, and consistently meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. - Experience with rigging, scripting (e.g., Python, MEL), or technical animation is highly desirable. - Demonstrated leadership or mentorship experience within an animation team. As a 3D Artist, you will create visual concepts, explore design directions, and partner with UI designers and stakeholders to turn ideas into production-ready assets and design intent documentation. This role is rooted in 3D CGI production, with opportunities to create both 3D and 2D outputs based on project needs. You will support multiple GM brands and contribute across many areas of the in-vehicle user experience, making curiosity, adaptability, and strong creative judgment essential. What You’ll Do - Create visual concepts for user interface features and experiences. - Partner with UI designers and stakeholders to rapidly iterate on ideas that are both compelling and feasible. - Refine concepts into high-quality visuals that guide final asset production. - Produce production-ready assets and supporting design intent documentation. - Create 3D and 2D deliverables based on program and project needs. - Help maintain asset libraries to drive consistency, quality, and reuse across programs. - Contribute to concept development across GM brands and multiple areas of the user experience.
