Role Description As our Radiology Scheduler, you will play a huge role in the patient experience, as you will be the first point of contact for scheduling critical imaging appointments. Every day you will: - Provide prompt, accurate, courteous, and helpful phone related assistance to patients as you schedule, cancel or reschedule imaging appointments. - Collect patient demographics, insurance, authorizations and verify eligibility. - Collaborate with other Imaging facility staff and Radiologists to perform all functions related to the coordination of imaging scheduling. - Educate patients about medication limitations, any required labs, and prepare them for other exam protocols such as food, water, contrast, etc. - Screen and collect vital medical history details from the patient and enter into the EMR.
