Role Description The Senior Compensation Administrator is accountable for the timely oversight and commission payments to our Canadian distributors. The Senior Compensation Administrator provides customer service at established service levels to the various distribution channels by accurately answering questions and/or resolving compensation inquiries. Key Responsibilities - Respond to and ensure efficient and accurate resolution to daily telephone and email inquiries pertaining to compensation issues, meeting established service level standards. - Research and investigate issues, recommend solutions, test and support implementation. Subject matter expert responsible for key projects, business analysis, and enhancement oversight. - Handle escalation resolution with minimal or no supervision. - Train and coach team members, maintain procedural documents, make and implement recommendations for process improvements, with appropriate authorizations and in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and Foresters policies. - Daily and ad hoc reporting for management, internal, and external customers including but not limited to Quality Review, production and SLA metrics, and producer commission reports. - Assisting in production work efforts on Compensation team. - Provide customer service support through our dedicated 1-800 line. Phone support required on schedule and rotational basis. - Additional duties as required to support any Compensation related activities. Qualifications - Post secondary diploma in a related field or equivalent experience. - Minimum 3-5 years in the financial services industry. - Knowledge of PMACS and PMACS web portal or other Contracting & Compensation Administration systems is an asset. - Experience with Microsoft CRM and Amazon Connect is an asset. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and French. - Advanced written and verbal communication skills to effectively communicate with internal and external customers and resolve escalations. - Self-starter with demonstrated ability to prioritize own work and work of others. - Results driven with strong ability to multi-task under pressure and time constraints to meet various deadlines while maintaining keen attention to detail. - Decisive with good judgment/decision-making skills to act effectively in resolving compensation issues. - Requires highly developed and creative problem solving and analytical skills, ability to recognize and address discrepancies, anomalies, inconsistencies, and long-term implications of decisions and actions. - Knowledge of producer and up-line commission structures for both Canada and the US. - Ability to learn quickly and leverage new technologies. - Ability to work within the hours of Insurance Operations (8:00am – 8:00 pm). - Must be willing to work extended hours, evenings, and weekends during peak periods as required to meet SLA’s. Salary Range $50,000 - $70,000. The actual base salary for this position will depend on several factors, including job-related skills, experience, and education. The incumbent will work closely with and establish strong relationships with company stakeholders including New Business, Actuarial, Claims, and Distribution. • Lead a team of annuity product analysts responsible for the development of detailed plan designs and detailed product specification documents for all new products, product enhancements, and in-force product support • Build, file, and obtain regulatory approval for new products and enhancements to existing products for the US annuity market • Oversight for regulatory, taxation, and compliance changes impacting products, IMOs, agents, and members • Support new operational process/strategies prior to them becoming a project or an enhancement • Bridge the product, process, and technology aspects of any product initiatives to ensure a seamless end-result • Subject-matter expert on various non-product initiatives (e.g. new admin, compensation, claims, agent/client portal, back office, and new business systems) • Lead US annuity competitive research and intelligence
