About the Team The Corporate Development and Investor Relations team at Airwallex is the company's strategic brain trust, driving financial strategy, growth, and high-impact decision-making. As a small but high-powered team of experienced ex-bulge bracket bankers, we work at the intersection of strategy, finance, and execution, partnering cross-functionally to unlock new opportunities, and execute complex transactions. From fundraising and M&A to strategic finance initiatives, we play a critical role in shaping Airwallex's future. What you'll do The Manager, Corporate Development & Investor Relations will work in a high-caliber team and will be involved in fundraising, investor relations and M&A for expanding our business into new products and new regions. Responsibilities: - Analyze where to deploy resources and develop partnerships, investments, and/or acquisition strategies to drive long term strategic value - Evaluate white space business, product, and market opportunities in the ecosystem - Work with executives on fundraising activities and investor communication - Develop operating and financial models to support business case - Execute transactions that will have a material impact on the business - Identifying acquisition targets, manage negotiations, deal structuring, financial analysis, due diligence process and execution of acquisition deals, ensuring alignment with Airwallex's strategic goals and regulatory needs - Collaborate with legal, finance, and CEO's office to ensure seamless post-acquisition integration of the acquired entities What You Will Bring: - 4-10 years of experience, preferably in top-tier investment banking, private equity, management consulting, corporate development in technology companies or equivalent - Bachelor's degree or equivalent - Investment banking experience, specifically with M&A and live deals - Strong analytical skills & data literacy, especially the ability to create and manage investment memos and financial models - Experience in technology, financial services and/or experience in a high growth environment is advantageous - Demonstrated experience as a self-starter capable of prioritizing tasks with great written and verbal communication skills to communicate complex concepts to senior management and stakeholders - Demonstrated experience as a self-starter capable of prioritizing tasks and managing workload effectively - Experience communicating complex concepts to senior management and stakeholders - Success-oriented and hold yourself accountable for delivering key outcomes Applicant Safety Policy: Fraud and Third-Party Recruiters To protect you from recruitment scams, please be aware that Airwallex will not ask for bank details, sensitive ID numbers (i.e. passport), or any form of payment during the application or interview process.
