Job Description

Social Media Manager

Unpack Holdings Limited

Role Description We're looking for a Social Media Manager who understands internet culture, gaming communities, and how to create content that people actually want to engage with. Your mission is simple: help us stay relevant, entertaining, and part of the conversation. This isn't a traditional corporate social media role. We're not looking for someone who wants to publish polished marketing jargon or spend weeks building content calendars. We're looking for someone who understands memes, trends, creators, gaming culture, and how people actually communicate online. You'll help shape our voice, create engaging content, react quickly to what's happening online, and build stronger connections with our audience across social platforms. We value creativity, speed, good judgment, and authenticity over years of experience or corporate credentials. Key Responsibilities - Manage day-to-day content publishing and community engagement across our social media channels. - Create engaging content including posts, memes, short-form videos, graphics, announcements, and reactive content tailored to each platform. - Stay plugged into internet culture, gaming communities, creator ecosystems, and social trends to identify opportunities for timely and relevant content. - Interact with followers, creators, and community members in a way that feels authentic, human, and aligned with our brand voice. - Help evolve and maintain a distinct, recognizable voice that feels approachable, entertaining, and community-driven. - Monitor content performance and identify opportunities to improve engagement, reach, and audience growth. - Partner with marketing, community, product, and design teams to support launches, announcements, campaigns, and creator initiatives. Qualifications - You spend time online, understand how different platforms work, and naturally recognize trends, memes, and cultural moments. - You know how to write content that feels engaging, conversational, and platform-native. - Experience creating social media content for brands, communities, creators, personal projects, or online audiences. - You can quickly generate ideas, experiment with different formats, and adjust your approach based on audience feedback. - You enjoy interacting with people online and understand how to build authentic engagement rather than simply broadcasting content. - Able to manage multiple content streams, campaigns, and priorities simultaneously. Nice to Have - Experience in gaming, esports, creator ecosystems, or online communities. - Experience creating short-form video content. - Familiarity with Discord, X, TikTok, Instagram, Twitch, YouTube, or similar platforms. - Basic experience with tools such as Canva, CapCut, Figma, Photoshop, Premiere Pro, or similar creative tools. - Familiarity with Web3 communities and digital culture. - Personal experience building an audience, creator account, community, or social presence. Benefits - We offer more than just a typical social media role; we offer the chance to pilot the voice of a global powerhouse. - Extreme Creative Freedom: We value attention and output over corporate red tape. If your content angle is sharp and hits the mark, we run it. - Massive Distribution: Your work will instantly step onto a global stage, commanding the attention of thousands of active users every single day. - A Culture of Momentum: Join a team that moves at the speed of light. You will be constantly learning, testing new content formats, and driving real-world market metrics. - High-Growth Upside: We value "potential over pedigree." For a Social Media Manager who consistently captures attention and scales our audience footprint, there is a clear, unrestricted runway to lead our entire media function.
