Senior Design Engineer – Controls

• Collaborate with project teams and Cybersecurity specialists to ensure controls and engineering designs achieve energy savings guarantees and functional performance • Manage the design and engineering process on assigned projects • Refine schedules, scopes of work, and budgets with the project team • Lead design review meetings and charrettes, manage engineering consultants • Create and refine Technical Solutions and controls based Energy Conservation Measures • Complete site investigations and data collection • Support project pricing effort in partnership with NORESCO Construction department • Support project team during construction, commissioning, and performance phases to resolve design issues • Participate in the equipment evaluation and procurement process • Identify key customer interests and drivers
Job Requirements
- 6+ years of Design Controls Engineering experience
- Bachelor's Degree
- Professional Engineer’s registration (preferred)
- Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Chemical or Civil Engineering (preferred)
- High level communication, leadership, engineering, and project management skills
- Strong sense of ownership, understands the importance of maintaining project schedules, resolving issues in a timely manner, and in consistently meeting deadlines and commitments
- Strong interest in engaging clients, customers, and partners to grow relationships
- Advanced knowledge of one or more facets of control systems and engineering; design principles, technologies, energy optimization, utility rates, energy costs, applicable codes, design guides, and standards
- Desire to build and maintain respectful and inclusive working relationships with individual project team members to foster an environment of cooperation and productivity
- Robust combination of business acumen, risk management, and strategic thinking skills
- Experience with engineering criteria for federal facilities
- Eligible to obtain federal security clearance
- Independently plans, prioritizes, and manages multiple engineering projects; prioritizes tasks to ensure that the team's overall resources are used effectively and that project deadlines are met
- Works cross functionally to lead complex engineering activities that may not be attributed to a defined discipline.

Role Description Meade has a job opportunity for an entry-to-mid level Mechanical Engineer II with experience in Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) to be an integral member of our design team. The scope of projects will include data centers, industrial buildings, offices, and other high-profile construction projects. This role will be highly collaborative amongst Meade staff, clients, vendors, and external disciplines. Travel to job sites may be required for site observations and client meetings. - Independently drive projects forward throughout design and construction phases. - Design mechanical and plumbing systems for data centers. - Oversee the production of all mechanical designs, systems, and drawings. - Work amongst a cross-discipline design team, owners, and contractors to develop drawings and specifications. - Coordinate with external vendors, internal design teams, and manufacturers. - Major equipment selection and scheduling.
