Senior Platform Engineer

Alternative Payments

• Design and implement scalable and secure infrastructure on AWS, ensuring high availability and reliability of our platform. • Develop and maintain distributed systems, with a focus on performance, scalability, and fault tolerance. • Collaborate with the engineering team (including our support engineers) to build and improve our internal platform, with a focus on automation, monitoring, and logging. • Work with Kubernetes to manage and orchestrate containerized applications, ensuring efficient resource utilization and high availability. • Participate in the development of our platform roadmap, ensuring that our technology stack aligns with our business goals and objectives. • Ensure that our platform is secure, compliant, and meets all relevant regulatory requirements. • Partner with the engineering team to identify and prioritize platform improvements, and to develop and implement solutions to address these needs. • Own the end-to-end platform development process, from design to delivery, ensuring that our platform meets the needs of our engineers and the company as a whole.

Job Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in a platform engineering role, with a focus on distributed systems, AWS, and Kubernetes.
  • Strong experience with agentic coding and platform development, with a focus on building scalable and secure systems.
  • Experience with cloud-based infrastructure, including AWS (what we use), and a strong understanding of cloud security and compliance.
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration, using tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Proven experience in designing, implementing, and optimizing CI/CD pipelines, ideally with GitHub Actions.
  • In-depth experience with distributed systems, including design patterns, scalability, and fault tolerance.
  • A strong focus on automation, with experience using IaC tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or similar.
  • Experience with monitoring and logging tools, such as Datadog (what we use), New Relic, Splunk, Prometheus, Grafana, or similar.
  • A proactive mindset with the ability to solve complex problems, drive projects independently, and continuously innovate our reliability practices.
  • Strong communication skills, especially in English, to collaborate effectively across technical teams and stakeholders.
