Role Description The Staff Accountant is responsible for overseeing core accounting functions, such as payroll reports and entries, supporting month-end close activities, and maintaining strong internal controls across a network of center locations and corporate operations. The ideal candidate has experience in multi-entities accounting, multi-location financial reporting, and thrives in a fast-paced, consumer-focused environment. Essential Functions - Financial Reporting & General Accounting - Prepare and review daily, monthly, and annual journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules. - Assist with month-end and year-end close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting. - Maintain the general ledger and ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures. - Analyze financial results and investigate variances between actual and budgeted performance. - Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. - Multi-Unit Accounting - Manage accounting activities for multiple center locations, ensuring consistent accounting treatment across all stores. - Review store-level cash, credit card settlements, and other revenue transactions. - Support new store openings, store relocations, and store closures from an accounting perspective. - Analyze store profitability and operational performance metrics. - Compliance & Internal Controls - Ensure compliance with GAAP and company accounting policies. - Maintain and improve internal controls over financial reporting and retail operations. - Support external audits, tax filings, and other regulatory reporting requirements. - Assist with sales tax compliance and multi-state reporting requirements. - Process Improvement & Business Partnership - Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and improve reporting efficiency. - Participate in ERP, POS, and financial systems enhancements and implementations. - Collaborate cross-functionally with human resources, operations, and sales teams. - Develop and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and documentation. Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. - 5+ years of progressive accounting experience. - Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting principles. - Experience with month-end close, reconciliations, and general ledger accounting. - Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel including advanced proficiency with pivot tables and v-lookups. - Experience with Rippling, NetSuite, and other business management platforms. - Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. - Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment. Join our Team About this opportunity The T&E Analyst Junior role, is responsible for day-to-day management and control of employee travel and expense activities. This includes reviewing and approving requests and expense reports, performing PEP checks on third parties, administering the corporate card and travel programs, and providing high-quality support to employees.
