• Independently negotiate and execute complex clinical trial agreements, including Master Agreements and Confidentiality Agreements • Develop, review, and finalize clinical trial budgets, ensuring alignment with fair market value principles • Lead contract and budget negotiations with investigational sites to achieve timely contract execution and study start-up goals • Resolve stalled negotiations and provide strategic support to Contract Managers to maintain study timelines • Partner with cross-functional stakeholders including Legal, Regulatory, Quality, and Clinical teams • Identify, assess, and communicate contractual and budgetary risks to key stakeholders for approval • Collaborate with global and local teams to resolve complex contractual challenges efficiently • Analyze grant plans and budget proposals to support accurate and compliant financial decisions • Drive continuous improvement by identifying trends and leading initiatives to enhance contracting processes • Partner with clinical teams and vendors to optimize budgets and deliver cost-saving opportunities
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, legal, finance, science, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in contract management within clinical trials or pharmaceuticals
- Proven expertise in negotiating clinical trial agreements and complex contracts independently
- Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical industry regulations and United States privacy requirements
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and project management skills with strong attention to detail
- Advanced negotiation and conflict resolution skills in complex, multi-stakeholder environments
- Ability to work effectively in a matrix organization with global and cross-functional teams
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-focused mindset

Role Description The Student Conservation Association (SCA) seeks a Partnership Manager to support the organization’s mission by cultivating, managing, and expanding a portfolio of partnerships across the Gulf states of Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Florida, and the states of Oklahoma and Arkansas. This position focuses on business development execution, relationship management, and supporting regional revenue generation under the guidance of the Regional Partnership Director – Eastern and Central U.S. As one of the two fundraising departments at SCA, the primary focus of the Partnership Manager is securing funds within their portfolio of assigned states. Job Responsibilities - Business Development and Portfolio Management - Manage an assigned portfolio of partners across designated Eastern and Central states to reach specific revenue targets for the organization. - Conduct outreach to federal, state, municipal, nonprofit, and tribal entities to secure new partnership and funding opportunities for placing SCA programs including interns, young adult corps teams, and youth crews. - Support organization-wide and regional revenue goals by preparing proposals, scopes of work, and partnership materials. - Assist in writing grant proposals in collaboration with partnership, program, and philanthropic staff. - Track and maintain accurate partnership pipeline information using Salesforce and internal systems with the goal of meeting revenue targets. - Serve as a frontline SCA point of contact for assigned partners and prospects. - Regional Strategy Execution - Implement partnership strategies developed by leadership. - Gather data, identify trends, and flag challenges and opportunities. - Support development of outreach materials and partner resources. - Assist with producing reports, one-pagers, and presentations. - Partner Communications and Outreach - Represent SCA at select conferences, events, meetings, and site visits (approximately 15-20% of this job will involve travel). - Draft partner communications and summary reports. - Support response efforts when incidents affect partnerships. - Internal Collaboration - Collaborate with Program staff on project scopes, timelines, and budgets. - Coordinate across departments to ensure alignment of deliverables. - Participate in regular internal and cross-departmental team meetings and share insights and feedback.
