Using science and technology, we produce local climate storylines and visualizations that make climate change relevant and actionable. Our work covers climate science, sea level rise, extreme weather, energy, and related topics. We collaborate with journalists, TV meteorologists, and other trusted messengers to reach audiences in all 50 U.S. states and more than 150 countries. Our research and visuals appear in thousands of TV segments and tens of thousands of news stories each year. About the Role Reporting to the Director of Individual Giving, the Digital Fundraising & Annual Giving Manager leads Climate Central’s strategy for small-dollar fundraising and digital donor engagement. This role manages the organization’s annual fund portfolio (donors under $5,000) while developing and executing digital campaigns designed to expand and sustain Climate Central’s donor community. This position will play a central role in expanding Climate Central’s small-dollar donor base and building a scalable digital fundraising program. The Manager will design and execute multi-channel fundraising campaigns, strengthen donor retention and acquisition, and develop innovative approaches to engage supporters online. Working closely with colleagues across development, communications, and content teams, this role ensures fundraising campaigns are timely, compelling, and aligned with Climate Central’s science-first, non-advocacy mission. Success in this role will mean significantly expanding Climate Central’s small-dollar donor base and building a scalable digital fundraising program that increases donor acquisition, retention, and engagement. Key Responsibilities Annual Giving Program Management - Manage and grow Climate Central’s annual fund portfolio (donors under $5,000). - Identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward annual donors with defined annual fundraising goals. - Analyze donor history and capacity to identify prospects for major and planned giving pipelines. - Develop and manage regular donor communications and newsletters. Digital Fundraising Strategy & Campaigns - Design and execute multi-channel fundraising campaigns across email, web, social, and print. - Develop digital fundraising assets including emails, landing pages, donation forms, and campaign materials. - Plan and implement giving day campaigns and other small-dollar fundraising initiatives. - Monitor and analyze campaign performance to optimize donor acquisition, retention, and renewal. - Test and implement new approaches to digital fundraising and audience engagement. - Maintain a coordinated digital fundraising calendar aligned with organizational priorities. Internal Collaboration & Alignment - Partner with development leadership to support annual fundraising goals and donor programs. - Work with communications, content, and program teams to develop coordinated fundraising messaging. - Identify and research donor prospects for potential cultivation by frontline fundraisers. - Ensure fundraising communications reflect Climate Central’s non-advocacy, science-first approach. - Coordinate with website and content teams to support digital fundraising tools and engagement. - Track and analyze campaign performance (open rates, conversion rates, revenue, donor retention) and use insights to optimize future fundraising efforts. Required Skills / Experience - 3–5 years of experience in digital fundraising, direct response, or nonprofit development. - Proven experience developing and executing email-driven fundraising campaigns and multi-channel digital fundraising strategies. - Strong experience with email fundraising and digital donor engagement. - Experience building donation forms, surveys, and digital engagement tools. - Ability to analyze campaign performance and apply insights to improve results. - Strong writing skills with the ability to produce compelling fundraising copy quickly. - Ability to collaborate across teams and manage competing priorities. - Organized, detail-oriented, and proactive. - Demonstrated creativity, initiative, and responsiveness to fast-moving news cycles. - Commitment to Climate Central’s mission and climate science communication. - Working knowledge of HTML and CSS (additional coding experience a plus). Preferred Skills / Experience - Experience managing an annual fund or donor portfolio. - Experience with Salesforce, Canva, Photoshop, or digital advertising (e.g., Google Ad Grants). - Familiarity with donor research tools such as iWave, Windfall, or WealthEngine. - Experience in fast-paced digital fundraising environments, such as political campaigns, advocacy organizations, or other rapid-response communications settings, is a plus. Compensation The expected base salary range for this position is $80,000-$90,000, depending on location, experience, and qualifications. How you will contribute: - Implement overall marketing and brand strategy for targeting and deployment of resources to key customer - Formulate effective strategies to achieve sales goals and product positioning goals within target accounts - Provide on-label clinical data to influence appropriate use of assigned product - Initiate and develop business relationships with high level decision makers and other influential groups - Formulate strategies to effectively utilize account-specific targeted marketing materials to educate and address the needs of key stakeholders - Create account-specific business plans and strategies to appropriately gain access to key stakeholders - Provide real-time analysis and input on market conditions to Home Office colleagues for the development of targeted marketing strategies and materials - Apply conceptual and practical expertise in in own functional/technical area to implement plans and achieve individual, team, and organizational sales goals - Maintain a high degree of competence in the areas of product knowledge, disease states of coverage, industry/competitive landscape, and organizational structure - Analyze data and prepare subject matter for business reviews - Act as a technical/functional subject matter resource for colleagues and customers, and continue to acquire higher level functional/ technical skills - Complete accurate reporting and submit in a timely manner including, but not limited to the following: monthly territory action plan, expense reports, monthly itinerary, sample inventory, request for professional speakers, budget tracking tool - Build and maintain strong relationships with all internal stakeholders and cross-functional partners across Takeda Oncology - Utilize company resources in a prudent fashion, consistent with all company guidelines - Report all adverse events related to products in a timely, compliant manner - Maintain a high level of comprehension around the distribution and delivery system for oral molecules, as well as the interface between specialty pharmacy and provider, and the functionality of the in-office dispensing model Minimum Requirements/Qualifications: - Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of oncology or other related specialty pharmaceutical experience - Strong presentation and communication skills - High comprehension of scientific knowledge and the ability to communicate with medical professionals in a compliant manner - Strong computer and technical skills and the ability to navigate software programs to process and analyze territory specific data - Maintain a valid driver’s license in good standing Preferred: - Previous launch experience in oncology - Established rapport and relationships in geographic area desired - Previous oncology selling experience - Large account management experience in oncology with emphasis on key large oncology community practices, as well as academic and NCI / NCCN cancer centers Travel Requirements: - Range from 20-30% travel depending on specific territory - Territory: Roanoke VA, Charlottesville VA, Sterling VA, Fredericksburg VA, Fairfax VA, Arlington VA, Bethesda MD and Silver Springs MD Training Requirements: This position and continued employment is contingent upon the employee successfully passing mandatory product training which includes written and oral examinations. External Takeda Hires Only: During that training period only, the employee will be classified as a non-exempt employee and eligible for overtime. The training period consisting of live instruction, independent study, role play, and other training related activities will take no more than 8 hours per day and 40 hours total in a workweek. After successful passage of the mandatory product training examinations, the employee will be transitioned to exempt status and will become eligible at that time for sales incentive programs and contests.
