Senior Director, Commercial Strategy – Market Intelligence

Foundation

• Lead development of market intelligence and competitive landscape assessments across key therapeutic and technology areas • Evaluate market size, growth trends, unmet need, and commercialization dynamics to inform strategic decisions • Develop competitive insights across biotech, pharma, academic institutions, and emerging technology players • Monitor external trends including partnerships, M&A, venture funding, and pipeline developments • Build analytical models including TAM/SAM/SOM, revenue forecasts, and opportunity assessments • Create executive-ready presentations, dashboards, and strategic market insights • Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to evaluate commercial potential and institutional fit • Identify strategic whitespace opportunities for new capabilities, partnerships, or ventures • Support development of business cases aligned to research and commercialization priorities • Establish scalable frameworks, templates, and processes for market intelligence and strategy

Job Requirements

  • Master’s degree required; advanced degree (MBA, PhD, MD, PharmD, MPH) strongly preferred
  • 8–12+ years of experience in life sciences strategy, market intelligence, commercial strategy, consulting, or related fields
  • Proven experience building market assessments, competitive analyses, and revenue models
  • Strong analytical, financial evaluation, and strategic thinking skills
  • Exceptional communication and executive presentation capabilities
  • Experience in oncology, precision medicine, biologics, diagnostics, AI-enabled technologies, or related sectors preferred
  • Ability to translate complex scientific and clinical data into clear, actionable insights
  • Demonstrated success working in cross-functional, matrixed environments
