Client Advocate

Role Description The Client Advocate is responsible for assisting clients’ employees with benefit plan questions and/or help with issue resolution. The CA serves as the direct point of contact for these employees and handles incoming phone calls and emails as needed. They will work under the direction of the Account Manager and collaboratively as part of an internal team. Essential Duties and Responsibilities (include but are not limited to): - Assist clients and their employees with various benefit questions which may include: - Finding physicians - Understanding benefit plans - Reviewing and resolving claims - Resolving transition of care issues - Assistance with authorization/approval issues - Confirming the member cost-share under their plan - Completing annual stewardship reports - Completing annual employee survey reports - Open Enrollment Support – EE Calls / Emails - Open Enrollment Communication to LOA’s (if OD LOA Client) - Urgent Enrollments / Access to Care - Late Enrollments inclusive of Advocate asking for and receiving sign-off & approval from Client - ID cards (if online access available) - Eligibility Inquires (ex: is this a valid QLE?) - EOI Support on One-off cases when member reaches out - Enrollment Audit Discrepancies when received from AAM - Carrier System Basic Support (ex. Providing carrier links & info.) - All Cases entered to D365 upon Receipt Qualifications - Strong verbal and written communication skills - Strong mathematical and analytical skills - Effective relationship builder - Proficiency with computer programs, specifically Microsoft Office and Excel - Positive, can-do attitude - Ability to be flexible and adapt easily to change and a fast-paced environment - Detail-oriented approach to work - Ability to effectively manage high volumes of work - Strong organizational skills Requirements - Bachelor’s Degree, required - Previous experience working in insurance/employee benefits, preferred - Valid California Life and health license, required within 90 days - License required after 90 days Benefits - The typical base range for this role is $71,000 - $75,000 - Your base pay is dependent upon your skills, education, qualifications, professional experience, and location. - In addition to base pay, some roles are eligible for variable compensation, commission, and/or annual bonus based on your individual performance and/or the company’s performance. - We also offer eligible employees health, wellbeing, retirement, and other financial benefits. - Paid time off, overtime pay for non-exempt employees, and robust learning and development programs. - You will receive reimbursement of job-related expenses per the company policy and may receive employee perks and discounts.

Role Description PWDA is seeking a full-time remote advocate to work in our National Redress Program. The Redress Advocate works directly with clients via telephone advocacy, assisting them in navigating the redress process, providing them with information on their rights and options, including accessing counselling and legal advice. You will assist them with their application to the program and advocate to ensure their needs are met effectively. - This role engages with a number of stakeholders including the National Redress Scheme and legal services. - It also involves public speaking and presentations to the public and other services on the Redress Program. Notes: - This is a fully remote position and can be based anywhere in Australia. - Applicants must have access to a suitable and private home workspace that supports confidentiality and productivity. - This role involves travel for our annual staff conference in Sydney and our occasional face-to-face team days. - This is a 12 month fixed term contract, with a view to extend reliant on funding.
