Job Description

Software Quality Manager

Extractta

• Ensure that deliveries and services provided by third-party teams comply with defined standards and procedures; • Ensure that deliveries meet requirements and effectively deliver the expected value; • Coordinate processes, people, resources and support related to software quality control and assurance; • Manage the service provided by contracted professionals, applying workaround solutions for day-to-day issues; • Ensure continuity of support services; • Identify training needs and technical improvement opportunities for third-party teams; • Troubleshoot first-level issues reported by the third-party team and escalate unresolved problems to management within appropriate timeframes; • Control processes and activities and monitor the quality of services provided, planning and overseeing service execution; manage deliverables during provider absences such as vacations or medical leave; • Manage the third-party team by providing instructions, guidance and standards for task execution; • Produce performance indicators for the processes and projects under your responsibility; • Create presentations and monitoring reports for strategic projects; • Manage strategic projects related to software quality; • Lead and support Strategic Projects, including executive reporting and specification of stages with adherence to deadlines and objectives; • Provide executive reports on project progress.

Job Requirements

  • Completed academic degree in Information Technology or related field;
  • Proven experience of more than 6 years in project management and QA;
  • Strong command of the entire software engineering process, from requirements gathering to software deployment;
  • Solid theoretical and practical knowledge of software testing and overall software quality principles;
  • Leadership, negotiation and decision-making skills;
  • Critical thinking;
  • Self-management and communication skills (ability to express oneself clearly and accurately in both oral and written form and to easily understand written and spoken messages);
  • Analytical and risk management skills, including estimation and planning;
  • Ability to make sound decisions quickly under stress and to provide direction to third-party teams;
  • Conflict management skills;
  • Knowledge of the discipline of software testing and of test maturity models available on the market;
  • Knowledge of agile software development principles and practices, including the Agile Manifesto, Scrum, Extreme Programming (XP) and Kanban;
  • Experience working with teams operating under DevOps practices.

Compensation At Fetch, we offer competitive compensation packages to the exceptional folks we hire. The base salary range for this position is $118,500 - $132,000, and the on-target earnings (OTE) range is $177,750 - $187,500.
