• Own our data ingestion layer end-to-end, including completing our migration to open-source ingestion tooling (dlt) and maintaining reliability as the stack evolves • Manage dbt models, tests, documentation, and the semantic layer - the definitions that determine what every metric means across the business • Own Dagster orchestration: scheduling, retries, alerting, and failure handling across all pipeline runs • Keep Lightdash metadata, dimension/measure definitions, and access controls accurate and current • Accelerate data refresh cycles to support near-real-time operational use across the business • Build monitoring, failure alerting, and anomaly detection into the stack so issues surface proactively • Chase data through systems when things go wrong: trace why records drop or transform unexpectedly between source and dashboard, and resolve the root cause rather than the symptom • Establish and document data quality standards and lineage practices across the warehouse • Partner with the Director of Strategy & Analytics — and the Technology Lead once that role is filled — on platform infrastructure, system integrations, and technical initiatives where data is a core component • Build and maintain reverse ETL pipelines to push warehouse data back into operational tools • Contribute to A/B testing infrastructure and the systems that support consistent metric definitions across the org • Own separation of dev and production environments: deployment pipelines, change management, access controls, and release practices • Maintain infrastructure documentation and ensure the platform is operable beyond any single person

• Lead the design and ongoing ownership of the Azure foundation supporting a multi-year municipal modernization program. • Oversee Azure environment structure, CI/CD standards, and infrastructure-as-code strategy. • Ensure the cloud foundation deployed into is secure, standardized, auditable, and production-ready. • Establish and manage dev, test, and production environments with strict separation. • Define secure networking, identity, and role-based access boundaries. • Configure VNETs, NSGs, private endpoints, and hybrid connectivity (VPN / ExpressRoute). • Design and maintain standardized CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps. • All infrastructure must be provisioned and maintained via Terraform or Bicep. • Embed FedRAMP Moderate–aligned controls into platform design.

Role Description As a Power Platform Engineer engaged on a 4-month contract , you will work with our team to design, build, and deliver business applications using Microsoft Power Platform . You will help create solutions that enable our clients to manage data, automate business processes, and support operational workflows through a shared platform. You will be involved in building solutions from the ground up . This includes: - Designing and implementing Dataverse data models - Developing applications for both internal and external users - Creating workflow automations - Integrating the platform with external systems You will be responsible for translating business requirements into scalable and maintainable technical solutions while balancing user experience, platform capabilities, and long-term sustainability. You will design and build Dataverse data models , including entity relationships, security roles, and data migration activities. You will develop applications and user-facing experiences within the Microsoft Power Platform ecosystem , leveraging shared data models and platform services. You will also design and implement workflow automations that support business processes, approvals, notifications, and operational activities. As part of the solution lifecycle, you will integrate Power Platform solutions with internal and external systems to support identity management, data exchange, and business operations. You will be expected to work with APIs and system integrations to ensure reliable, secure, and maintainable data flows across platforms.
